  1. I've been having a blue screen of death "KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" and i have it create a Dump file whenever there is a BSOD. I have analysed the Dump file with BlueScreenView and it is apparently caused by a driver, intelppm.sys to be exact (screenshot below) Can anyone tell me what that driver is and how to fix it? Suggestions are much appreciated. And also could someone recommend a good driver updater? )
  2. How would i check my frame times? And how would i make them better?

  4. So I booted up The Witcher 3 to see how much fps I could get after upgrading to a 2080ti. On max settings I get 120 - 160fps. However, when the game drops down to 120 it feels like a massive lag spike even though its 120 fps which is far beyond playable. Like as it drops down to 120 you can feel the game stutter. I dont get why this is. Can anyone explain to me why this is the case or give any suggestions/solutions etc. Thanks
  5. I completely understand what you are talking about. Yeah some games just run better when they are lower fps. Like skyrim its locked at 60 but if you use mods to unlock it the game shits the bed. Haha Similarly, I was playing The Witcher 3 to see how much fps I get after getting a 2080ti. On max settings I get 120 - 160fps (1080p). When it drops down to 120 it feels like absolute shit even though it's still 120 fps. Which is far beyond playable. It's really annoying.
  6. Ah ok thank you. So 2k is would be the same as 1080p @ 150% resolution scaling?
  7. 1080p @ 200% Resolution Scaling the same as 4K? Or are they different?
  8. Hi thanks for replying. It says ist is caused by driver "intelppm.sys"
  9. But it doesnt feel like that on console so i was confused, someone said its because im now used to higher fps - which makes sense.
  10. I have been receiving this BSOD for a while now, it usually happens like once a week but today happened 2 times within like 10 mins. I have a dump file created after the crash but i cant upload it here as apparently i dont have permission, cant even open the file in notepad etc myself. If anyone know how i can analyse it that would be fab. Probably missed some information so just ask for it if needed. All replies are very much appreciated!
  11. I dont game at locked 30fps, i locked it to see what it was like so i was just wondering why it feels so bad.
  12. Ahh ok, that's what i though. Thanks for the reply
  13. So i used to be a console gamer for the majority of my childhood so, obviously, i was used to playing games at 30 fps. Now i play on PC and if i lock my fps at 30 its nearly unplayable. Why is this? is it because ive gotten used to higher FPS? Or is it because the fps is able to go over 30 but cant because its locked?
  14. Never mind actually, i changed it to UEFI from Legacy went into UEFI boot option changed boot 1 from my HDD to my ssd rebooted and it worked. Thanks very much. Even though i didnt really understand what you were suggesting...... i understood what you were suggesting??? LOL Nevertheless its now working fine thanks to you. Thank you very much!
  15. I dont have very good knowledge when it comes to things like this. Could you explain a bit more? Sorry
