  1. Well I reset it all through advanced settings and I reset all the files as well so I wiped the drive
  2. I deleted everything off my SSD including files which is my only form of storage. I’m sorry if I’m not explaining it well I just do not know what you’re saying

  6. Oh never mind, I guess I didn’t list the specs... one minute
  7. My os is installed on my only form of storage which is my SSD, I haven’t tried changing the cable. And I believe that I listed all my specs apart from my cpu which I will figure out right now
  8. Hello, so I’m having a weird issue that just started recurring after I reset the storage on my ssd. This runs Uefi bios and I have a military class motherboard. When I turn the computer on the monitor pops up with the windows logo then pops up with my motherboard branding then says, “press <Del> to run bios setup or <F11> to run boot menu. This loop keeps going on forever. I can access my bios no problem. I will also upload a picture too of these two weird bars that run vertically across my screen. Might help dive deeper into my problem. Also, there are times when the windows logo won’t even show up, but will continue and reboot the same way as I explained, still, showing the 2 bars. Also, on the no signal screen the 2 bars show up so that display isn’t the monitors issue either. Pictures include: First booting up but without the windows logo, booting up with the windows logo, motherboard branding with different commands, then finally a picture of the computer. specs: MSI R9 390 8G (gpu) Samsung 250gb (ssd) 1x8gb stick (RAM) MSI MILITARY CLASS 4 (motherboard) Thermaltake smart series 750w (psu) Not sure of what my cpu is though.

  10. Hello, so for the past month or so I have been troubleshooting my computer due to no post. the reason this happened was because I was cleaning my computer and I put the 4 pin power connector from the 20+4 into my cpu power ?, and lets just say a ton of smoke came out what looked to be the motherboard. Before ordering another motherboard, all the fans would stay spinning just no display or lighting of the caps lock on the keyboard (no boot) but after ordering the motherboard my psu makes a clicking sound, I’m experienced so please don’t say things like, “are all your connections secure” etc. just your opinion on the next thing I should buy next. I might have shorted the cpu or messed up the power output on my psu. Please get back quick. I’m moving soon and my mom isn’t gonna let me take a dead computer till I prove it works Specs: Corsair HX 850 psu Amd a-10 7850k MSI r9 390 8 gb ddr3 samsung 120 gb ssd 54913864978__AA4405F0-F48A-458A-A7EA-31D0974BC52B.MOV
  11. I just don’t think my computer is booting because the caps lock key is not lighting up when I click it. and the leds on my mouse and keyboard normally light up when I turn it on too. I think it’s a boot up problem. I have cleaned my ram stick so it’s not my ram, because I have tried it with other ram, and not the gpu because it’s a boot problem. Lack of thermal paste? Fried motherboard? Psu problem? Missing power connectors to the motherboard? Unusable CPU? Please if anyone is experienced in this area please get back to me. I need to see if it’s a problem I can fix instead of taking it to a repair shop
  12. Would any of these effect the no signal on my monitor?
  13. Would no thermal compound not allow the computer to boot? That might be the problem.
  14. Yes I have taken off the heat sink and cpu tens of times, the hdmi is connected to my gpu, and I reseated the gpu properly, still same problem. Even if it was the gpu wouldn’t the caps lock key light up if I clicked it?
  15. Okay, so I was cleaning out my pc as per usual, so I unplugged all the cords into my motherboard, took out the motherboard, ram, gpu, heat sink, and the cpu. After reassembling my computer I have had problems. After troubleshooting, I turn on my computer and all the lights and fans turn on, but no display on the monitor, the caps lock doesn’t glow when I click it. I tried different ram, and a different gpu but the problem still persists, help please. I feel like it’s my CPU because I will leave it on to test temperature and the heat sink isn’t warm at all.
