  1. Kind of late but it can be that the overclock on your CPU was not completely stable and the games just pushed it to that point where it became unstable.
  2. Yep as I said I just want advice on what to focus on, not going to buy at the moment, just going to save up
  3. Just out of interest sake I did a check on shipping cost and cost around $400 so I would have to politely decline but again thanks for the gesture man.
  4. Much appreciated, doubting that you'll be close to me as I am in South Africa, but thanks for the thought
  5. True will copy and format it now.
  6. Not really looking to build a PC now, will be doing all the research for parts and everything in June
  7. Notice: Lot's of reading ahead. Cross Post from Reddit because I really need to reach as many people as possible to get advice. Ok so it is midnight and I am at work at night shift, it might just be the caffeine but I am having a bit of a panic attack as always thinking about what I am going to do with my life and what I'm going to do next. Nothing serious or life-threatening, I just like to plan ahead. I really don't know how to structure this all that well but here goes. Games have always been my escape from reality, I don't smoke or drink to destress myself. Recently I had to sell my Xbox to have enough money for a car(which was definitely needed). I knew that this would impact me hard but I thought I could survive a few months without games. It has been my dream for 7 years to own a PC but I never got to it, now I finally have a job and I'm still saving up for a pc and other reasons for getting a pc over a console is that I want to create games and other types of content instead of just consuming it. So I have a while back decided that to create games I needed to learn to use 3 types of applications, a 3D modeling application, a DAW for creating music and a game engine, so far I've been using and learning blender for a few years and have gotten a lot better with it. For music, I have mostly just been playing around with FL Studio but haven't really invested myself in learning it yet. The computer I have at the moment is seriously lacking to do the above and I have already started getting new parts(Just a case and power supply at the moment) and I am saving up until June so that I can buy all the rest once off. I want to move ahead in life and be that by being a creative artist or indie developer which at the moment I don't feel I have the necessary skills to be a job yet. So I am very good with IT related stuff and I'm currently working as IT support. To move ahead I know you have to have some type of degree or something that looks good on paper and I have started taking and learning the A+ course as I've heard it boosts your IT career. So the few problems that I have and want advice on are that I don't know what to focus on, do I focus on the present and just get the A+ certification so that I can start looking for a better job and leave the Content Creation aside or do I put the A+ aside and learn other skills for Content Creation(Music theory, Sculpting, Animation, and Coding) and if so what to focus on first? And for the gaming-related problem is that I have recently played league of legends for a few months but uninstalled it this morning because I don't like the mentality of online games and limited time events that make you spend hours on it and I feel like I'm wasting my time. My PC is a potato and I can't do much with it. So I have been thinking of just giving in and buying another Xbox just so I have something to play but that would push back me getting a PC. My computer also cannot handle any gaming engines so I can't start learning to make games just yet. The obvious choice is to not get the Xbox but I really do not know what I will do in the meantime(in addition to learning). Additional notes are that my PC is not able to run most software that I want to use. Specs of PC; CPU:i3 2120 GPU: Nvidia 9600 gt 512mb RAM: 4 GB Power supply: Corsair RM850x Case: NZXT H700i Sorry in advance if this is confusing.
  8. Damn, will be getting parts monthly, starting with CPU/mobo/RAM combo. I currently have an i3 2120 and a Nvidia 9600GT with 4GB of DDR3 RAM. Price is more flexible with me so any builds that can do the above in terms of performance is fine, I'm still thinking in terms of gtx 1070ti performance. The reason I'm not really looking to new graphics cards is that they might be very expensive and if they're not I might get them, another reason I'm not listing a budget is that price differs a lot vs the USA, a $2000 USD build is $3000 USD here.
  9. which build should I go for? 1080p/60 1440p/60 1440p/144 I already have a Corsair RM850x and an NZXT H700i(Expensive I know but this was originally going to be an expensive build) The reason I'm asking is that I don't know what's going to happen in the next 6 months. Disclaimer: I am not in America or Canada, I'm in a Country where parts are a bit more expensive(South Africa) i9 9900k price in South Africa: 11499 ZAR = 835.60 USD So my parts I'm looking at is: All Builds: 500GB SSD 16GB RAM(3000mhz) 1080p/60 Ryzen 5 2400g Stock cooler 1440p/60 Ryzen 5 2600 Stock cooler A gtx 1070ti or whatever new cards AMD might be releasing(if priced correctly). 1440p/144 Ryzen 7 2700 Stock cooler or Air cooler A gtx 1070ti or whatever new cards AMD might be releasing(if priced correctly).
  10. It runs it with ease. if only servers were local that would make it fun to play
  11. PCMASTERRACE and all that stuff I get it, but this is what I have so I need to make the most of it.
  12. So I got a Nokia 7+ a few days ago and I am in love. Now I am currently at a friend for a day who has way better internet than me, so I want to ask you guys if there are any games that are free and worth playing? Current games I have: Clash of Clans Hay Day Contest of Champions Real Racing 3 Angry Birds 2 Odyssey Powder Toy. Time is a factor because I will not be here for quite a while. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. Also, I am going to do a week, 2 weeks, month, 3 months and year review on the phone.
  13. So I want to get out of my country and I have thought of ways to do them, there might be more that's why I'm asking. Countries I am interested in living in: Canada. Russia. Japan. USA(maybe). I know some of these countries are incredibly hard to get into but I also want to make a living in them, ways I thought of are: Get a job locally of an international company and try to get sent over to these countries. Work hard and get certificates and apply for jobs in these countries. Work hard and get money to buy a business in these countries. I really need to leave my country so any suggestions as to what I can do?
  14. After googling it and about 1 hours research found the best option that does everything I wanted, it is called dexpot
