  1. Hey guys. I decided to reset my PC today due to some graphical performance issues. However, after loading into a fresh install of Windows 11, I noticed that my RAM wasnt overclocked. I went into BIOS to check to see if DOCP was enabled, and it was, however my RAM still seems to be running at 2133mHz instead of the 3600mHz that it is capable of running at. One thing that I have noticed is, after I make changes in BIOS, I get the American Megatrends splash screen stating that the PC booted into safe mode due to changes made in the BIOS, but when I go back into the BIOS, the DOCP settings arent reset, and remain on DOCP enabled. Specs are as follows: CPU - Ryzen 9 5900x GPU - EVGA 3070ti Ultra Motherboard: Asus ROG X570-E Memory: 2x Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 3600mHz kit My BIOS is completely up to date, so is my chipset driver, and I've got no idea what to do. Keep in mind, I had NO issue overclocking my RAM before I reset my PC, and I was able to successfully OC my RAM when I first built my computer, so I have no clue what the issue is now. I've tried disabling and then re-enabling DOCP, but this hasnt worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  2. Hey all. I've been facing a rather strange issue where when I load up any game, there is A LOT of lag in the game menu. The FPS when im in the menu usually sits at around 7 fps... but when I load into the game, the performance is fine. For example, I play Battlefield 2042, and when I load the game up, the menu is extremely laggy. However, when I load into the game, that is no longer the case. When I am in game however, if I go to the settings menu or any other menu, there is a bunch of lag. This also applies to games like Sea Of Thieves, and some others. My PC specs are: - Ryzen 5900x - EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3070ti - Asus ROG X570-E mobo - Samsung QVO 870 SSD Not sure how to go about fixing this, so any help would be great!
  3. Thanks for the response, I'll give it a try!
  4. CPU: i5-4960 Memory: 2x 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz GPU: GTX 750 Motherboard: ASRock Z87M-PRO4 Mobo Cooler: Stock Intel cooler Hard drive: Kept the same PSU: Kept the same
  5. Hello to anyone who may see this! I owned a relatively outdated computer, but recently had it upgraded and fitted with a new CPU, GPU, RAM, Motherboard and CPU Cooler (The hard drive however, has been kept the same, and it is the same hard drive that Ive been using since 2016). New System Specs: - i5-9400F - Cooler Master Hyper 212x Cooler - 8GB DDR4 2666Mhz - Gigabyte GA-H310M S2H 2.0 mATX Motherboard - GTX 1060 3GB - 1TB Hard drive - Genuinely don't know the wattage of my power supply as there aren't any visible labels on it Now, after receiving my computer back from the repair place which fitted my computer with these new components, I have noticed that overall performance and gaming performance has significantly decreased, to the point where I'm finding alternative devices to use to complete certain tasks. Windows 10 loads extremely slowly (Which is obviously due to the hard drive), however navigating around Windows 10 and even basic browsing has been an absolute pain, as I always experience extremely slow performance, and random freezes and stutters. Gaming performance, which is crucial to me since I use the computer mainly for gaming, is even worse. Most games can't maintain 60FPS (And in most, if not every game, even reducing the games graphical settings to its lowest preset doesn't help), and games always stutter and there are constant frame drops. I'm even unable to play some games (Namely Modern Warfare and Battlefield V), as they are purely unplayable due to the poor performance. Now, here's my question, could these issues be resolved by replacing my hard drive, especially the poor gaming performance, or could there be something else which is causing the issue? I look forward to hearing back from you guys, it'd mean a lot! Cheers, Liam.
  6. No, it refuses to load into windows because it always boots into bios when I start it up. Even when I press save and exit, it restarts and goes back into bios. The resolution on the other hand I think is fine. The GPU fans spin for a second when I start up the PC but stops spinning after a couple of seconds
  7. FYI: It also appears that the fans on the graphics card don’t spin either.
  8. Hi. Ive returned from a 6 week holiday, and it appears that I had left my computer on (Yes, for a whole six weeks). When I returned, my computer would not load into Windows, and whenever I turned my computer on, it loads straight into BIOS. I have a hard drive and an SSD (The SSD acting as the boot drive) , and both are plugged in properly into the motherboard. The computer has not been tampered with. When I go to the windows setup page with my storage devices on it, the hard drive and SSD both appear, and storage is being used on the SSD and hard drive, so there is obviously still data on the SSD. I just can’t seem to figure what the issue is. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  9. Hello all. I just have a general question that i need to get off of my chest! So i have been HWID banned on multiple games, Fortnite in particular (I am a programmer and was testing a few "illicit" programs in the background whilst i played). I was thinking of making a new PC, but keeping the graphics card just so i could save a bit of money. I currently have a GTX 1060, and plan on buying a new CPU, mobo, case, harddrive and ssd, ram etc. I was just wondering, if i were to make a completely new build but use my current graphics card on my new build, would i still be HWID banned on Fortnite? Just needed to ask before i started buying parts for my new pc. Thanks, Liam.
  10. Hey! Im Liam, just some 14 year old Tech enthusiast. Programming is something that i have been interested in for a while and after pushing myself to the limit i now have the ability to program in many different languages. The languages i know consist of: -C++ -C# -Java -JavaScript -Python -Lua I was also thinking about learning Ruby but i had no use for it.
  11. Thank you for that! I was a bit baffled at the prices and why they were so expensive.
  12. Good lord, i hope the prices on technology drop soon! For me, a 1080 would basically be unaffordable for me at the moment.
  13. Well thats an unusual price for an SSD..? Especially if the capacity of it is only 250 GB
