Overbuilder got a reaction from Stormseeker9 in Lag with a rtx 2080
@Stormseeker9 I am suggesting 1.5v in a few games for maybe a few hours max, and then if he notices improvement, to bring it down to 1.4v , which should give him good performance while he waits for the ryzen launch. I thought he mentioned he had watercooling, must be dreaming...

In which case 1440p would suit you better. This goes a  over budget, but it is 75hz 1440p AND IPS 10 bit baby !

AIOs dependin on the quality usually only last from 5-10 years before they start massively affecting your temps. The PSU shouldn't be the issue as long as the 12v rail doesn't fluctuate too much, and usually the whole thing dies before you start getting those kind of issues.

RYZEN threadripper 2990WX would be the best cpu for rendering that consumers can buy

I might finally be able to maintain good temps with my crossfire setup !! only spent 100 cad on each r9 290, so it was a really good deal and he wasn't willing to sell one, so...

I am actually pleasantly surprised with how reliable crossfire has been to me, in far cry 5, SOTTR, JC4, AC Odyssey and origins, deus:ex... Pretty much all the games have positive scaling due to DX12's mGPU.

Hard to explain in a forum , but when removing the 24 pin power connector be very careful , they are very hard to get out and if you don't do it properly you will break your mobo. You have to push in the clip and jiggle it around and around until it comes out , if you feel your motherboard bending too much you may have to put one hand on it and pull with the other.
