  1. I think I will get an alienware 17 R5, even the base model has 60 Hz display. more than enough for GTX 1060
  2. This is true when it comes to exotic items manufactured in KSA, but for electronics, mostly international brands the price tag is higher than that we get from UK of US but significantly lower than that in India. The difference is mostly due to TAX and we have a whole lot of it.
  3. Hai, I'm planning on buying Alienware 17R4 with GTX1060 (Before u starts complaining, as a child I always wanted an Alienware, and I'm stretching my wallet for GTX1060). What i wanna know is that how good is their base model display 17.3 inch FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS, is it doing justice to the GTX1060 ? And how does not have G-Sync gonna effect the game, will GTX1060 tear the FHD display? I know GTX1060 can push out up to 60 FPS P.S. I am buying from Amazon.com because the price in Saudi Arabia is $200 to $600 higher. MSI and ASUS won't ship to Saudi Arabia, ACER Predators won't support warranty in KSA, HP OMEN and Lenovo Legion doesn't interests me.
  4. Can you comment on the display, in reviews I read that Omen and GT72VR has great Color accuracy but Omen's display is mediocre and GT72 need calibration. for Calibration i need to buy additional tools then. in which case i would prefer Omen Heating and noise wont be a problem as I'll be using external mouse, keyboard and headset most of the time. FYI: CFL-H is not than commonly available in KSA and if so very expensive for my budget. I'm squeezing every penny (Halala in KSA) for this rig.
  5. Sorry for being so 20th century but this was a question that exist even now. Being an Expat from India in Saudi Arabia I am constantly asked by friends and family to buy electronics from Saudi even though the same product is available in India. It is believed that electronics items bought from Saudi Arabia has better quality than that from India. So does quality of product, lets say a Gaming Laptop, varies with location of purchase? I just wanted to straighten up my facts before I decline to do their shopping.
  6. I'm an Indian Expat in Saudi Arabia Considering factors such as availability and price (Yes, price here is very high than from US or UK), I'm torn between Omen 17 and MSI GT72VR. Specs are all the same. Except for Omen is $102 more but i get 256GB SSD more. Choice of customization is limited here but come with 2 yrs warranty as standard. I could buy from Amazon.com but worried about warranty issues and shipping back and forth. Portability is very minimum. (No, Desktop won't cut it) I'm looking forward to buy the one with a better color accurate display. Specs are as follows: processor type : Intel Core i7-7700HQ, (processor speed - 2.8 GHz) graphics card : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB) display type : 17.3" FHD-WLED 120Hz IPS Anti-Glare Display - 1920 X 1080 (WUXGA) operating system : Windows 10 (64 bit) Storage : 256 GB SSD &1 TB HDD RAM :16 GB RAM http://www.jarir.com/sa-en/computers-peripherals/powerful-gaming-computers/gf72vr-7rf-laptops-492987.html http://www.jarir.com/sa-en/computers-peripherals/powerful-gaming-computers/omen-17-an099nx-laptops-494376.html Jarir.com is the Amazon of electronics here.
