Mads-Ejnar got a reaction from Phas3L0ck in Which raid card to buy for raid 6?
Ending up getting the LSI 9361-8i with CacheVault and battery for 250$
The seller told the card was "New", it was pulled out from a workstation and never used.
It looked like to be a really great deal and a bit more future proof, then 9271 or 9260.
So i hope i made a ok deal and the card will be ok. All the reviews i could fine looks really good

Mads-Ejnar got a reaction from dalekphalm in Solar cells / panels
Well not that far, less then ½ meter i think. and to the charge controller a few meters i think.

I have some big cables that should be ok for the task.

I will make the panels myself from cells, so i think the price will be close to the same. it's just if a need a few big cells to make 12v and 1 big solar panel og many small cells to make more panels at 12v.
Thats right, did not think of that. easy to replace 1 small panel and cheaper, then 1 big, if for some reason 1 will get damage

Mads-Ejnar got a reaction from CommandMan7 in AMD discrete GPU market share eroded to less than 20 per cent
On reason i think nvidia is selling better is Nvidia Gameworks.
More and more games are using it. And if you are out looking for new GPU and there is a new game you will play that use Gameworks, why not get a Nvidia GPU?
I also every time i get new GPU look for the game makers from the games i play and see if they work with AMD or Nvidia. And then i buy GPU from that info and every time have been Nvidia so far.

Mads-Ejnar reacted to Captain_WD in BEST HDD that make no sound?
Hey Mads-Ejnar,   What the guys pointed out is pretty good. The faster a drive is, the louder it tends to be. Your best bet is to get a SSD (if you can afford a suitable size that you need). SSHDs are also an option but since tehy also have a spinning platter, they tend to be pretty much as loud as a regular HDD.   So in terms of regular HDDs, I would look for a NAS/RAID class drive, an energy-saving drive or a recording-oriented drive. These three types of drives tend to make the least noise and still have good read/write speeds.    The guys here already mentioned WD Purple, WD Red and WD Green as well as WD Blue. Here are a couple of words on each:   WD Blue is an everyday drive that works good, not too loud and is rather fast. WD Red is a NAS/RAID class drive that works pretty quiet and still has a good transfer speed. WD Green is very good in terms of energy efficiency and quietness, but tends to b a bit slower, compared to the others. WD Purple is a drive designed for surveillance and thus works really quiet, but it never spins down and has a rather slow random read/write speed (while the sequential read/write speed is great). WD Black, as you know, is a performance drive which is fast but loud.  WD Red Pro is again a NAS/RAID class drive which also works quiet but spins at 7,200 rpm and has longer warranty, compared to the regular WD Red.   Out of all those drives, WD Green, WD Purple and WD Red are the quietest, having 21 dBA during idle (1TB version of the drives). During seeking times, WD Purple is the quietest of all with 22 dBA together with WD Red with also 22 dBA and WD Green is with 24 dBA.    If you need more info, you can check their spreadsheets on the website http://www.wdc.com/en/%C2'> simply ask me   Thanks @ShadowCaptain for the good words. We simply try to advise people and provide as much information as possible. It is only natural that we offer WD products as solutions since we work for Western Digital. It is up to the user if they would go with the product or chose a different one. We simply give an option.   Hope this helps,   Captain_WD.

    Top single card allways best.
But when SLI is working, then its great.

Like BF4, 2x 760 (what i have) is working great and can have all on Ultra
But with Farcry4 the sli profil is still not great and broken so i have to disable sli to play that game.

SLI is more work to get it working some time or time needed to disable it or enable it. But when its working for 70-80% of the time, its great and get better performens/price
