  1. Thank you all, I guess then i will go and find myself a Gigabyte board that would suite my needs, hopefully they will be as good as you all say they are. Hopefully they will be as reliable as Intel boards was. Found some warehouses that still has few of Intel boards so i still have some time before they run out.
  2. Hello, so i have a hard time deciding what kind of motherboard to buy. I have built allot of systems for small offices and I always based my systems on Intel motherboards, so that I could sleep peacefully at night and not get phone calls that the "computer isn't working" And none my machines have failed a single time. But now Intel does not make their boards so I am in a little panic lol So my question is: what would be the manufacturer that I should look into for stable featureless workhorse of a board for simple office PC? I have heard that Foxconn was making the boards for intel, but I have not used any of their own boards, do you have any experience with those? Perhaps Foxconn makes stable boards for someone else as well? I couldn't find much info on that. At the moment I am leaning towards Gigabyte boards but a friend of mine (also builds systems) said that he uses MSI and they are the best, but i have my doubts.... Also I have thought about brand PCs, but I don't like them very much since very often i cant customize them as I want to. (some random power supply, cheap RAM and no SSDs) -Mikus
  3. Long story short - I screwed up... So now i am left with a problem. I have a old PC that is still running XP and as you could guess, Outlook express as well. The thing is i set it up using POP3 servers provided form mail service provider, all is good, everything is syncing, Outlook Express works like a charm but the problem is that now web mail is totally empty and now my mom cant get her mails anywhere else than her PC. The Web mail supports importing backup files in formats CSV, vCalendar, vCard and LDIF. I have been searching some time on the web for solution but no luck. So. Is there a chance to import back my mails to web mail using some sort of export/import? I had a thought of simply forwarding the mails to the account, bet then there will be 2 versions of each mail in outlook express. I have backed up all the outlook express DBX files so i can experiment freely with them. Any suggestion will be gladly received!
  4. I didn't expect think, that they could somehow improve the body of M7, it looks like they did it tho, big time.
  5. When i made the image itself the hard drive had tons of bad blocks so some of the files were corrupted as they were, but basically i got them back as i would if i simply copy them from hdd when it still worked. Fun fact: when the drive worked the pc turned on for 15-20 min, when i pressed ctrl+alt+del it showed black screen with error that says this function cant be displayed and after few minutes a message popped up saying that Microsoft Windows has stopped responding :D
  6. Solved the problem, so basically i put the GHO file into a VHD and mounted it on a virtual machine, then using tools like ERD65 and some other i managed to recover all the data that was saved until i got the ghost error
  7. I have a pretty sad situation. My family had a hard drive that had tons of bad blocks, so when i got it i wanted to make a image using Ghost from it. At about 90% i got an error that stopped Ghost. After the error the drive died entirely and i cant access it in any way.(no utilities can detect it and it is clicking all the time until it stops) So, all i have left is 57gb corrupted .gho image, that ghost explorer does not open, and a dead hard drive. It contained some important information that i would like to get back. Does anyone know some way how to get at least some of the information from the .gho image?
  8. Hi, so the problem is with an old XP machine. As i install GPU driver, after the restart PC freezes in the black XP loading screen, if i try to boot up in safe mode it gets stuck at 1394vdbg.sys file. I managed to make system recovery but that doesn't change the fact that i need the driver. GPU's codename is G72(CPU-Z said so), thats all i got. Downloaded THIS driver. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
  9. relatives had a PS2 and gathered dust, now its my PS2 and is gathering dust, because i don't have any games, and even if i did, i don't think i would play it anymore. Any good PS2 exclusive mby? :D would like to give it a shot, since i have never played any console games.
