  1. so i have my wifi adapter set to dhcp and on my ethernet adapter i set a static of 192.168.0.200. also one more important thing that i probably shouldve mentioned is that im really actually looking for a way to access the device on the non internet lan through a browser. chrome just assumes that i want to use the wifi and not the ethernet adapter even though the subnets are clearly set
  2. So i have a very specific problem that i need help with. I need to be able to connect to one lan over ethernet, that does not have an internet connection, and on the same computer at the same time, maintain a connection to the internet through a seperate lan over wifi. I thought that bridging the two networks might solve this problem but unfortunately it does not. So for example i want to connect to 192.168.0.10 through the browser while maintaining an internet connection from 192.168.1.1 over wifi.
  3. I was actually thinking about this. i've dual booted kde and gnome before but i've never done this with windows. Ill try this if i still get stutter in 1607
  4. So im going to try something new this time. someone in the Nvidia forums said that they don't have any stutter in the 1607 build of Windows 10 so I'm going to try and revert back to that one to see if it makes any difference
  5. So i earlier disabled hpet in windows as it seemed to be on by default but there isnt an option in my bios to change it. i saw other people talking about turning it off in the same bios and they said that there wasnt an option to.
  6. Wow, I think this is actually the first step I've taken in the right direction, most people don't understand the stutter. I'll keep watch on that Nvidia thread in case new developments happen and I've already installed the standby manager and set up a task for it, waiting to see if it works.Thank you very much for this
  7. when i moved into a new apartment my temps were kinda wonky for a couple days and my gpu got up to 90 for a couple minutes but when i noticed it i instantly stopped the game and adjusted my airflow and fan settings. i dont think this is it because my other gpu did the exact same thing during my troubleshooting and it never got above 70c
  8. Thanks for the tip but sadly yes. Also thanks for the input
  9. tested the games both on the ssd and hdd. no difference aside from load times
  10. all drivers updated, tried 2 different slots with 2 different cards. updated bios this week
  11. Recently ive been noticing more and more stutter in every game. Not just the games that i could expect a bit of hiccups in like far cry 5 but also much more simple games like ni no kuni 2 and tower of time. It doesnt matter what i set my graphical settings to low or high its always there. One of the things that i noticed is that the stutter is minimal when not moving around in game but seems to stutter when things are loading like moving through an area and the such. I've tried nearly all of the fixes out there for this: Disable xbox dvr, Stopping startup programs, testing on a different gpu, removing overclocks and setting everything to default. completely reinstalling windows, dusting insides of computer and reseating everything that plugs in, changing storage location, defragging, capping my fps, turning gsync on and off, messing around with nearly all of the settings in nvidia control panel. None of it worked. Ill post some graphs here to show you what it looks like My specs are: Intel 4770k 16gb corsair vengeance ram 1600mhz gtx 1080 fe sabertooth z87 tuf motherboard corsair neutron 250gb ssd seagate barracuda 3tb hdd dell 144hz 2k gsync monitor razer peripherals
