  1. This has been happening for a few days where everytime i open valorant it just goes to the main boot screen and it plays the sound as it always does, and then it stops there and is no longer responding. I dont know why this is happening cause to my memory i dont remember downloading anything other than regular pdfs from safe sources, nor have i updated my windows or drivers in a while. I immediately tried restarting, then I tried updating my graphics drivers (I have a GTX 970 Strix), I then re-installed the game, tried moving it to SSD in case maybe it was caused by my super old hdd acting up, I changed config files so that it wouldnt start up in fullscreen mode (However im not sure it worked cause when i booted in windowed it still looked like it was fullscreen), I tried running it in compatibility mode and starting it up with admin perms, and after trying all of these it still isnt responding. I honestly have no clue what the hell the problem is cause it just suddenly happened in the evening even though i was playing earlier in the morning
  2. I've had some problems with my lenovo yoga slim 7's touchpad. The problem is that after a bit of using it (before was 10 minutes approx) the mouse would then get really laggy unresponsive jittery and borderline unusable. I had the followed Dave2D's touchpad driver fix that was on his channel from a few years ago. My mouse then felt a bit better and didnt go into that horrible state for a lot longer (approx 30-90 minutes after driver update). I forgot to mention that when the laptop goes to sleep thats usually when the problem is guaranteed to occur; though even if it doesnt go to sleep, with enough use it will still begin getting slow. The problem is now, whenever it does happen its EVEN WORSE than before, this time it was completely unusable. The touchpad had a massive deadzone rendering about 60% of the outside parts unusable, it would randomly left-click by itself, the feeling was like having v-sync on in a game of valorant or minecraft; basically really slow response time and it might be something where the polling rate of the trackpad drastically plummets. I found something that might be the culprit in the driver properties could it possibly be this? Could it be a problem with the one of the power state mappings?
  3. yea ik but i thought that it would be pretty close in temperature no? i just checked on ryzen master and this puts me at ease a little, its consistently 5-10 degrees cooler than in HWMonitor, ill try check out HWinfo
  4. Just for reference the one on top is the boards readings. Ill try to install the other two and put them side by side just to make sure
  5. So recently i thought i had problems with my CPU so ive cleaned out my system and re-applied the thermal paste since i thought i had really high temps at idle. After i did all of this though my CPU temps, or at least what HWMonitor showed me, was that it was still 60 C on idle. And then i realized there was a different reading for CPU temps provided by the motherboard. Does anyone know which one i should be paying attention to and what the other one means, Thx in advance.
  6. So i just found out that it isnt normal to overclock RAM by that much, but i wanted to ask why. Does it stop your pc from running or what, cause i got my team elite 2x4 2400mhz to run at 3200mhz oc without increasing timings or voltages (to my information). The pc runs normally and i dont really get any crashes. Does this decrease the longevity of my parts?
  7. I see that is a good point my guy, maybe ill just opt for Xe
  8. So im having this problem where whenever i fullscreen in a game or a video sent over discord my monitor starts blacking out. The pattern that i can find from this is whenever i go to a different menu like the settings o a different section of the games main menu thats when it happens. Ive had this problem before and i had to full reset my PC to remove it so now i know its something i downloaded, but the thing is ive permanently deleted all of the things ive downloadedd for the past 12 days and this issue has only come back a week ago. I've never gotten a solution to this problem other than the reset (and that was just by accident cause i wanted to wipe my drives clean). No one has ever given me anything that works but maybe this time someone might be able to help me idk. Thx for all the help and responses i appreciate anything i can get. P.S. Windowed Fullscreen has the same problem
  9. Do you know what the laptop variant would be called or is there no information as of right now
  10. I would really hope so cause if not then AMD is in for one hell of a ride
  11. I wanted to know when ryzen 5000 mobile is releasing cause AMD has a proper challenger in the mobile market again. I saw the performance for the Xe graphics and i was wondering what the renoir graphics are gonna bring to the table. So is there any speculations or leaked info about when the mobile ryzen 5000 CPU's are releasing?
  12. I have actually, the prestige is great but the modern really isn't eye catching in my opinion which makes it really hard to even consider getting. If MSI could give it an amazing configuration for an amazing price though, is be willing to get it. Though I think I'm gonna style paying a price premium for the envy 13 with 16gb and a 4700u
  13. The title is actually a debate im also having. I would recommend the HP envy IF the 13 inch model had a config with 16GB of ram, but it doesnt. You would have to buy the 15 inch version as that has upgradable slots, and if you dont want a 15 inch then you need to opt for the ryzen 7 model which is a lot more expensive for not very much performance gain. I would get the Yoga Slim 7 with amd probably the 4800u since the extra cores, as well as the fact that it costs the same as the envy with 8gb with the ryzen 5 where i am
  14. I dont think you should go for something older. If you can find something with more than 4 cores with decent ram under 800 go for it, but i dont think youre going to find anything worth it if you go farther than a year or so, well compared to laptops nowadays at least. I think you could check out the flex 5 14 with the ryzen 7. I think it gets a bit hot but other than that its pretty worth the money. Maybe the touchscreen could also be of use
  15. Thx for the confirmation right to the point. I've asked this question multiple times cause I kept getting conflicting responses, but I think ill just go for it now before the chips go out of stock. Thx for the responses
  16. I have already discussed this question is a separate thread but it wasnt completely focused on that discussion so i wanna take the time to delve into it. In the previous thread i was talking about this a lot of people were saying that the 3300X is far superior to the 3500 and its almost on par with the 2600. So I started researching about these CPU's and all I found was that the 3500 was quite a bit better than the 2600 mainly because of the architecture. And when compared to the 3300X it was neck and neck only losing in the more single threaded games and workloads. It also seemed that the 3500 had better streaming quality than both these CPU's. But the thing is, I cant find any reputable youtube channels taking about the 3500 maybe because its completely overshadowed by the 3600 for its price. Honestly I only asked this question was because I found a 3500 in my area on sale for $131 and it was the cheapest out of the 3300X and the 2600, it was even cheaper than some of the 3100 i saw for sale. So I wanna know if the people saying these two CPU's were better than the 3500 were actually right or they were estimating the performance it would deliver thinking that because it didnt have SMT it was the worse pick of all of these chips
  17. I was referring to the 3500 not the 3600
  18. I was checking out prices for CPU's in my area, and i realized that the 3300X is more expensive than the 3500 over here. The 3300X is $150 and the 3500 is $131. Is the 3300X worth the extra bit of money over the 3500, or is the 3500 way better than the 3300X. Also which one has better streaming performance
  19. That kinda stuff isnt always made exactly the same, i dont know the technicalities so i cant tell you why, but the best way to know is just trial and error and if you are trying to get the absolute best frequencies, its gonna take a while.
  20. Oh I hadnt checked the price lately on that one yet, i just associated it with the old price here which was extremely overpriced at $240 cause of how many people were buying it and the demand here was waay too high I think I might go for that board
  21. A lot of them are priced under $100 which i think is a very good deal
  22. Im pretty sure the TUF B450M-Pro Gaming supports PCIE 4. The only reason i dont want to buy a B550 board is mainly because of how much it costs. i just think that the price isnt really justified for a B series board. Also the fact that i most likely wont be buying zen 3 any time soon (unless they release an amazing performing Ryzen 3) is another reason I dont really want it. If you know any incredible value B550 boards I'll try do some research on it and see how it fits the specs i need
  23. I was planning on building a budget PC for a friend and I was thinking because his budget is really tight, that maybe if I buy a B350 or X370 board for a zen 2 processor, that it would be better than spending more on a B450. I found a Biostar X370 for quite a bit cheaper than a B450, and most other X370 where i am are the same price as the B450. So going off of support and specs which motherboard should i go for and is there an X370 board that supports PCIE 4
  24. Actually the 3300x where i am costs $160. I think it might be due to how new it is but it also might be because there is a very limited supply here
