Don't know if Audi use it specifically, by the VAG 1.4 with the supercharger and turbo used to be littered with issues, loads of recalls and warranty work carried out on them.
Don't know if any of those issues still lurk around. Shame, it's an awesome concept.

Its not exactly PC, but I was fiddling with one of the new HP ProLiant DL360 G8's at college, and had it out on rails. I had finished doing what had to be done, and went to slide it back into the rack when I knocked the cabinet and the screwdriver on top rolled off and hit the PCB head first. It never booted again....

There wasn't any physical marking so we managed to RMA it and get a new unit. I don't want to think about what would have happened to me if we couldn't..

That's why it's classed as a 'green' drive, much lower power consumption and also a lower heat output. Green drives are used for long term file storage..

Been silently following this log since you started in May.

I have to say, I have been really impressed with the craftsmanship and the attention to detail that you have displayed whilst creating this, and I know fellow forum members have too! The amount of bad luck that you've experienced is unbelievable, to have to RMA both the motherboard and then one of the GPU's, it must have been utterly soul destroying having to constantly drain the loop, take things apart and put them back together again..

Really looking forward to seeing this properly up and running! Are you going to consolidate all your posts into one big one, or just leave as is?

With 8.25Mb down, you're looking at around 600-700kbps.

    When I had my 8Mb line, I was round 700ish, now on a 18Mb line and I get 2.2MB..

As Stickeric said, there is a difference between Mb (Megabits) and MB (Megabytes)

Honestly, I wouldn't even bother, since they were designed to be within inches of your head, trying to even fill the room with sound is pretty ludicrous imo.

However, yes it is completely possible, no need for any extra equipment, just hook them up to your receiver. You wire them just the same as you would speakers, you have a positive and negative terminal on the driver, you'll want to solder the cables on the terminal at the driver end, which will look like a smaller version of this..

And then you can terminate them to another pair of terminals that sit in the box, like so.

After that connect it to your receiver and you're all game. Although, as I said, I wouldn't recommend.
    Good luck mate  :P

It is not abnormal at all in aviation for untrained pilots to fly an aircraft. Particularly in the commercial sector.
It is mandatory that all pilots reach a certain amount of hours in the sim to comply with FAA standards. After this period the pilots are able to fly commercial flights with passengers with/or freight onboard aslong as they have a trained Captain or FO in the jump seat.

Most aircraft are fitted with a device that applies feedback to the control column when approaching stall speed. Normally in the form of vibrating the controls. (I know this is for definite on 76/75 aircraft, but most probably applies to the 777 as well) It would probably be combination of not following the glide slope properly and low air speed... Although one would have thought this would have been picked up by the trained pilot in the jump seat..
