I have a dell inspiron 5559. Its 2 years old and for last 10 days I am having this problem. When I close the lid and then open it, the display goes black (both plugged in and on battery). But the computer is running (I can hear music, movies) fine. I just cannot see anything. Black screen also happens when I turn on my laptop plugged in(never on battery!!!). It shows windows logo and then bam! display goes black. My power option is "Do nothing" when lid is closed. This doesn't end there. Sometimes the display works just fine, none of the above problem appears. Its like nothing happened! But then it comes in a few hours or one or two days later. This is what bugs me most. I have tried every single solutions I can find in the online forums. none of them seems to solve it permanently.My config:i5 6200uintel hd 520amd r5 m3358gb ram1 tb hddNB. I bought a new charger adapter(previous one broke), problems started 5-6 days after that.I noticed left hinge of my laptop is a little loose. but I think its loose for a long time.I have tried:1. Fresh install windows 102. Update every driver (this sometimes fixes my problem temporarily)3. Installed every goddamn intel hd graphics driver version from dell site. This is the commonest reason for this problem I found online. In my case too. When I uninstall driver, everything's okay. Except I can't change brightness and after opening lid trackpad stops working, keyboard okay. So I have to use external mouse.4. Changed ACPI LID driver to Microsoft Volume Manager, so that display don't go off at all while I use intel hd driver. but its got same issue as the last one(trackpad not working)After doing all These, I am totally at a loss. I can't seem to figure out whether its a software or hardware problem. Please help me, thanks in advance.
