  1. Wait for the 3000 series. I own the EVGA GTX 1070Ti and use MSI Afterburn to do a moderate overclock of 15%. That's plenty fast for my needs. Use the MSI and just click the OC button and let it do the overclock autoomatically. It saves the settings to the program. I have my MSIA set to load when my W10 system starts up. Having said the above. There is nothing in the 2000 series that is going to make you say, "wow!" if you upgrade to it, not even a 2080. The 3000 series is right around the corner and what you have now simply needs a little tweak with MSI Afterburner. Version 4.6.0 - don't use the latest version which is for the 2000 series. Good luck!
  2. I waited before building my new system until more information was available on the web. I just finished my build last week. During the research I found many questions here about the 7700K and 8700K. So here are some personal experiences with my results using the EZ Tuning Wizard plus a couple manual tweaks in UEFI on the Asus ROG Strix 370-E Gaming Motherboard. http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/8278039 All specs and components are show in the above benchmarks. I hope this helps others with their OC goals.
