  1. Looking into that now. I downloaded some free applications that include bloatware in the installer for ad revenue, but I declined all of it (I think). Either that or the info thing seems plausible. I remember those stories of Flight Sim Labs (my friend pirated it) but I never believed him when he said it stole some of his passwords. I can't believe that's actually true!
  2. I did what you said and after a lot of rebooting and going into safe mode, I finally got it off my machine. I used a combination of Safe Mode, HitmanPro, and Malwarebytes AdwareCleaner to rid it from my machine. I'm working on changing my passwords right now. Thanks for the help!
  3. It's just a pastebin with a bunch of text. But I do get what you're saying.
  4. That removed the .EXE's from the startup and quarantined the AGData folder, and while the EXE's were gone when I restarted it the AGData folder was back again. But thanks for the suggestion, I forgot about HitmanPro.
  5. My computer was running slow. Too slow. So, I opened up Task Manager and saw something I instantly regretted seeing. AnonymizerGadget. Tried killing it with Task Manager, didn't work. Neither did procexp64. So I took the PID and force killed it in CMD. I opened up the file location and found it in a AppData folder called AGData. Apparently AGData is a legitimate paid info collection service, so no wonder neither ESET or Malwarebytes recognized it as a threat. I browsed through it a bit and found a couple .PAK.Info files. I opened the english file is VisualStudio and this is what I saw. What worried me the most about this are these couple lines here: IDS_PASSWORD_MANAGER_USERNAME_LABEL,5747,../../chrome/app/generated_resources.grd IDS_PASSWORD_MANAGER_PASSWORD_LABEL,5748,../../chrome/app/generated_resources.grd IDS_PASSWORD_MANAGER_SIGNIN_VIA_FEDERATION,5749,../../chrome/app/generated_resources.grd IDS_IMPORT_FROM_IE,5755,../../chrome/app/generated_resources.grd IDS_IMPORT_FROM_EDGE,5756,../../chrome/app/generated_resources.grd IDS_IMPORT_FROM_FIREFOX,5757,../../chrome/app/generated_resources.grd IDS_IMPORT_FROM_ICEWEASEL,5758,../../chrome/app/generated_resources.grd IDS_IMPORT_FROM_SAFARI,5759,../../chrome/app/generated_resources.grd I can't make much sense of this but it seems like it is collecting my passwords. I deleted the AGData folder but as soon as I restarted my pc it came back. Like it was always there. Opening Task Manager I checked startup. There were 3 applications set to enabled that just didn't seem right. Exhalation.exe Manicures.exe Parfumerie.exe. I haven't heard of these before, but since I couldn't select properties or open file location I couldn't find any info on them online. I disabled them but when I restarted my computer at least 5 instances of each program were now located in startup. I'm at a loss for words. Here's what I scanned my computer with to try and get this shit off. RKill (recommended to kill of AnonymizerGadget) ESET Antivirus, McAfee Stinger, Malwarebytes, Webroot, AVG and Comodo. Nothing found it, but Malwarebytes did find and kill ProxyCheck (also in AGData) and block a bunch of suspicious websites from opening. I don't know what to do. I don't know how these got on my PC, I don't pirate things or install strange programs. Does anyone know what to do? Thanks in advance for commenting. (if you saw this on Reddit, I decided to post this in mulitple places just in case.)
  6. I'm honestly assuming it's my processor, but I'd like to know if anyone has any other ideas. I'm writing this because I haven't seen a problem exactly like mine. My computer is a Lenovo IdeaPad z580 with i5-3210m (2 core 4 thread @ 2.5 ghz base) with a GTX 760 (192 bit 1.5gb OEM card) connected via a external gpu adapter. It has 8gb of ram and cannot be further upgraded. It can run other games at medium/high 1080p at 60 (fallout 4, just cause 3, gta 5) and yet doom is the game I have problems with. All my drivers are to date, the game was reinstalled twice, and I have this problem. T When the game first loads the menus load quickly (under 1 minute and I'm in game). When the game loads it starts off around 50 fps and then immediatly drops to 13 fps and stays there the rest of the time. My first thought was "OpenGL isn't working, better use Vulkan" but vulkan makes it worse to the point where I get 1 fps in menus and the game freezes up if I try to load a save. It evens goes as far as to either BSOD or lock up my pc. I can't get it to work. I've changed game settings, settings in nVidia control panel and it does nothing. Anyone got any ideas besides my processor? Thanks for your response.
  7. Had this with another Asus laptop. I tried what you did here, but I ended up having to re-install Windows because of the drivers apparently corrupting .dll files. Try running a SFC scan: Open administrator command prompt Type sfc /scannow Wait until it's completed, and reboot. Let me know what happens.
  8. Hi everyone, This is my first post so sorry if i'm a bit hard to follow. I have an EXP GDC BEAST and a GTX 760 attached via mini pci-e to a Lenovo Ideapad z580 with i5-3310m and 8gb ddr3. I have a modded bios by LosSantosPro over at bios-mods. But, Windows rarely starts with the EXP GDC turned on. It doesn't matter if it's plugged in to the laptop or just turned off and hotswapping doesn't work. I've tried changing BIOS settings around under the unlocked advanced tabs but that doesn't do anything. Can anyone help me with this? It would be appreciated. Thanks
