as most have replied, no but i will add in general uses cases.
if you are using ram heavy applications, stability testing/bench-marking, overclocking over the XMP profiles then they will be handy.
i stressed my ram w/aida extreme and checked stress system memory and was surprised how warm they got; well, what I consider not quite hot. though i am sure OCing my DDR3 from 1866/1.5v to 2133/1.56v influenced it a bit.
but again for most uses, nah not a big deal.

XMP profiles are technically OCing according to intel w/IMC on the cpu. but the RAM manufacturer who binned the chip for those profiles; no it isn't.
