Fasauceome reacted to Kilrah in New PC Progressive Stutters. Can it be because of RAM?
Definitely. Any memtest fail is unacceptable and means the machine won't work right.

(you can also swap the 7500F for a 7700 for better blender performance and an iGPU as well as slightly better gaming performance and still be in budget or swap it for a 7800X3D which is an AMAZING gaming CPU and is as good as blender as the 7700 and should still fit in budget)
For intel and nvidia (this build should be quite a bit better at blender)

Fasauceome reacted to Poinkachu in Is there a way to install an extra front fan in the HDD bays in HAF 912?
I once mounted a fan in drive cage by wedging craft foam in the space between the fan's side and the cage's wall, best thing? the foam also acts as vibration noise silencer 🤣
Zip tie will also work
VHB tape will also work
3d printing a bracket might work too
The cage itself might be removable by disassembling the case and then drilling out some rivets holding the cage in place.

Fasauceome got a reaction from PDifolco in White 1000W PSU Search
I went on PCPartPicker's price history and saw no records for the Vertex GX 1000 or 1200, so this may just not be an item that was ever sold in the US.
Consider these

Fasauceome reacted to 8tg in White 1000W PSU Search
It’s from 3 years ago, the white version probably just didn’t sell well and usually those secondary product variants get cut pretty quick. Most people were probably buying the normal black variant. It’s not uncommon for that to happen to any pc product with different color variants these days.
I would recommend basically anything superflower offers in the same spec, they’ve got a bunch of 80+ gold, 1000w+ white psus.
I would get a leadex 7 XG https://www.newegg.com/super-flower-leadex-vii-xg-1000w-1000-w/p/1HU-024C-00059?

Fasauceome got a reaction from MadAnt250 in can i upgrade later
yes, should be fine. What CPU are you using? Can't imagine it's pulling more than 100 watts.

Fasauceome reacted to Jaw709 in 5800x3D and PBO Tuner 2
Can confirm living in the northwest (hemispherically) I'm not a geography major but I think that includes North America. Thank you all for the answers!
-
Fasauceome got a reaction from Jaw709 in 5800x3D and PBO Tuner 2
Nah, you basically said it already that if the CPU is not near throttling, lower temps won't help. Max of 76C is also a pretty nice and low operating temp in general.

Fasauceome got a reaction from Silencix in Good budget PSU for R5 1600AF and 4060?
I would not use the 1x2400. Ryzen is very sensitive to ram speeds, and a Ryzen 5 1600AF should be accompanied by 2x DDR4 2800 or higher
-
Fasauceome got a reaction from Silencix in Good budget PSU for R5 1600AF and 4060?
Yes, I think that would be a fine choice.
Do you already have the 1x8GB and 1x16GB? What speed are they?
-
Fasauceome got a reaction from Silencix in Good budget PSU for R5 1600AF and 4060?
I agree but I couldn't find the same model in a lower wattage. If you do, and it's cheaper, it's a good choice
-
Fasauceome reacted to Levent in Motherboard change, reinstall?
You most likely wont need to do anything software wise.

This might be the best one in your budget

I often use this site as a reference for PSU quality because it's a good comprehensive spot for the info
https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/
That cougar unit falls in tier C and everything else I can find on Mercado Libre looks like tier F and lower, or too old to be on the tier list. It might be worth it to bump up your budget

I looked up this teardown video
I see one 2.5 inch hard drive slot and one M.2 slot

Fasauceome reacted to Hinjima in Not enough pcie connectors...
You mean by buying a splitter? No, dont do that.
-
Fasauceome reacted to jaslion in Not enough pcie connectors...
What psu?
A 550w only having one is odd so that makes me concerend about the quality.
Also no you shouldn't. You'd be asking DOUBLE the power of the cable and they are NOT rated to do rhat. Thats usually how you kill your system
-
Fasauceome reacted to Poinkachu in Not enough pcie connectors...
Kinda depends on the GPU & PSU and what exactly you meant by "multiply it"
but generally not recommended.
-
Fasauceome reacted to filpo in Low Profile GPU
I'm assuming your psu doesn't have any 8/6 pin connectors. A 3050 6gb Gigabyte OC Low Profile GeForce RTX 3050 6GB 6 GB Video Card (GV-N3050OC-6GL) - PCPartPicker
how much are you willing to spend?
-
Fasauceome reacted to PowerPCFan in Low Profile GPU
3050 6gb, RX 6400, gtx 1650, arc a310 are the most popular low profile cards right now. 3050 is probably the best.

Fasauceome reacted to 8tg in weird graphics card
It’s a 64mb MSI Nvidia GeForce MX 420
It’s a low end card from 2002. You can get them on eBay for like $15 tops
-
Fasauceome reacted to Average Nerd in weird graphics card
It's old and out of production, so they're getting rarer.

Nowhere, because that doesn't currently exist.
What exactly are you trying to do?
