  1. I think I might be going Ryzen. These specs are impressive!
  2. This happens everytime they launch a high-end card. This is an issue with Nvidia and potentionally AIB parters that will be resolved in a few months. Saying the 2080 Ti is a flop is like sying the 980 Ti and 1080 Ti were flops. Spoiler alert, they werent. I see no RTX cards on your list though. All of which are more powerful than anything AMD makes. So no, AMD can't compete with RTX cards. Until they can really compete in both sales and in the high-end, Nvidia will most likely stick to their pricing. I also doubt the Titan X Pascal, Titan Xp, 1080 Ti, 2070, 2080 and 2080 Ti is just a 10% niche markert. I for one would love seeing AMD get a kickass high-end card out. I like the Vega cards a lot, but I'm not about to downgrade.
  3. 980 Ti or 1070 are both fantastic cards for 1080p gaming. And if you get it used they're really good value.
  4. Considering the price difference is not really a real issue when buying new, get the 2080. It's a tad bit faster and they do overclock pretty great even with the power limits Nvidia put on it. Just get the AIB card and not an FE one. People love to compare the most expensive 2080 they find to the cheapest 1080 Ti, but in reality the prices are very, very similar when comparing "low-end" cards or "High-end" cards together.
  5. This case is awesome. I'm gonna do some of the cabling different, but I am very happy! Here's a picture! The backside was super easy to manage. It is actually kind of routed behind the cable bar too.
  6. I want to make a custom fan shroud made from duct tape and pink packing tape. I've done this to another 1070 too, it works really well when the fans are broken.
  7. Intel should make GPUs like this. On a side note, this thing actually works pretty good, you just have to check the fans for rubbing after you install it.
  8. Blower cards can be fantastic if in systems that cannot handle the extra heat of a GPU. For a normal system, get the Strix. If you got a tiny system andputing more heat into it will make something throttle or cause issues, get the Aero.
  9. These things should look good in the O11, I'm only a little unsure how to mount the fans now. The back of the fans doesn't look nearky as good as the front, so I might rock bottom intake and side exhaust.
  10. Fans are ordered through work. I went with 6 LL120 fans, this is gonna look sick.
  11. No doubt, and the front panel looks amazing. I did consider the O11 Air as well, but it's only in black and I wanted a white case as I've never had that before.
  12. I did consider that case too. But having the radator in the front doesn't really look that good compared to having it in the top.
  13. The LL and ML fans look great, but they are 30% more expensive than the SP120 fans here. I have one LL140 that I got randomly from a friend once. That won't fit my new case though. Have any experience with the SP120 fans?
  14. Definitely! I love the R6 to death, but it can be a bit starving for airflow and bland to look at. But goddamn what a great case to build in.
  15. I've kind of sponaiously ordered a new case today. So here's a short build log! Here's how it sits right now. All the major components are coming with me to the new case. Only the R6 and it's fans will be sold. Still waiting for the new case to arrive, I opted for the Lian Li O11 Dynamic in white. For radiator placement, I want it up top like I have now, and use it as exhaust. The cooler is big enough that I don't get much difference when I mount it as an intake anyways, yes I tried. (OC'ed 8086k with stock TIM) Intake is gonna be 3 fans on the side and the bottom will be left empty. I hope this won't starve the GPU for air if I keep it mounted horizontally. The 2080 ROG Strix is kind of a fat card. I suspect it might hit the side panel of the case. becuase of this I might get a vertical GPU mount from Lian Li and mount it that way instead. Still haven't decided on fans. I think the Corsair RGB fans look way better than most others, and I can get them at work so it's easy access and a good price. My main choice here is 6x SP120 fans. I am also looking at the LL and ML series fans. Edit: Here's the result so far:
