    Codecademy is a great tool for beginners. I would suggest to begin with python.

    Just go to the local store. Try some of the guitars they have there and decide which one do you like best. And if possible, bring along someone who already plays guitar.

    I would use two partitions. On one i'd keep OS and programs and all the other stuff on the other partition. I don't understand what do you mean by this. You just put it there and thats it. Just as you would save it on the first partition.

    You have to install OS on the SSD.

    Get an SSD and keep the old drive. It's fairly simple to install an SSD. Plug in the SATA cable and install preffered OS on the drive.
