  1. My biggest concern is causing some sort of fire. If the wires are plugged in correctly from this point on, there shouldn’t be an issue if everything works ok, right? Sorry if it’s a stupid question. The smoke was a bit unnerving
  2. Soo, I stupidly plugged the USB cable into the RGB lighting hub and the wire got really hot and smoke started to come out. Though the fans and the system did work when I plugged everything in correctly. Not gonna use the burned wire (actually returning the whole kit), but I’m wondering if I should be worried about my other components?
  3. i think you should get a 1080. I have an MSI 1080 gaming X and it can do 90-100+ FPS on Gears 4 (Ultra settings, no overclocking).
  4. I'll keep that in mind if I continue to run into problems. I just tested my card with Gears 4 ( a rather demanding game) and the temp was about 62 degrees on ultra settings, so things seem to be working ok now. But I appreciate your input!
  5. That makes sense. I actually reapplied paste a little while ago because the temps were a bit high (it turned out that MSI did a poor job applying the paste) and my temps dropped over 10 degrees afterwards. For now, it's fine. But I'll keep this in mind for my new card. Thanks!
  6. So I bought this MSI Graphics Card Bolster as kind of a precautionary accessory for the MSI 2080 Trio that I pre-ordered. I hear that the newer cards are pretty hefty and tend to sag. Anyway, I tried it with my current card (MSI 1080 Gaming X), which has minor sag, and I noticed that the GPU temperatures increased when the support held the card at more or less a 90 degree angle to the floor (ie as straight as possible, no sag). And when I let the card sag just a touch, the temps returned to normal. Has anyone else experienced this?
  7. I own the Define R5 Blackout. Does anyone know if the window accessory is compatible with my model? http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/accessories/define-r5-black-window-side-panel I’m guessing it’s compatible but I’m not entirely sure.
  8. Wish i could find data for the 750T2. Can’t even find a single review.
  9. Currently have an EVGA 650 P2, though I’m considering an upgrade because it’s likely that I’ll get a new card (either 1080ti or an RTX). And while the 650 should still have enough power, I’d rather get something that’s quieter at higher loads. Anyway, even though the EVGA 850T2 is expensive, it’s super efficient and doesn’t make noise until it surpasses like 500W or so. Is it bad if I get this PSU even if I only use about 40% of its capabilities under load? Again, $ isn’t the issue. Just want to make sure that it wouldn’t hurt my system.
