  1. If you pull the RAM out and try to turn it on, does it do anything different? like if the mobo has a speaker attached do you get any beeping?
  2. .0013% of my total youtube views have been from somebody on a windows phone. who tf is still using a windows phone and why are they watching my videos.

  3. that power supply should be good enough for just about any graphics card you want to put in, don't worry.
  4. Cinebench is a good CPU benchmark, Unigine Superposition is a good GPU benchmark. Prime95 is a good CPU stress test, Furmark is a decent GPU stress test. Those are all free.
  5. Try using Prusa Slicer and making a test print. If it works it's probably something wrong with Cura. If it doesn't and the extruder motor still goes the wrong way, try updating the printer's firmware (guide here https://help.prusa3d.com/en/guide/upgrading-the-firmware-v1-6_24720) edit according to https://3dprinting.stackexchange.com/questions/1362/extruder-is-running-backwards you can just reverse the power to the stepper and it'll work.
  6. What model 3D Printer are you using?
  7. how much is a 1650 Super where you are?
  8. So I got my cheap PCIE risers yesterday and they work totally fine, despite looking like some obsolete IDE cables that have been given a new lease on life. I found out where to put the graphics card and cut some holes. I would have used a CNC to just drill all the holes perfectly, but I can't go to school for the next couple weeks due to human malware. The only thing now to do is get everything back in the box and find a way to stabilize the graphics card better. I also need to get a USB wifi adapter so I can have internet access on it
  9. with about 300 dollars to spend I'd get a Ryzen 5 1600 AF (this one, it's basically a 2600 but cheaper), a decent B450 motherboard, and 16GB of DDR4 3200 RAM.
  10. lmao so that motherboard just sat in my closet for like a month and today I pulled it out and was trying to fix it... I noticed a tiny metal blob sitting on the motherboard so I flicked it off onto the floor and the damn thing POSTed. So this whole time the mobo worked fine, it was just shorted in one place, constantly activating the power supplies over current protection. Sure glad I never got around to ordering a new board lol
  11. chrome because uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I don't see a need for me to switch to firefox
  12. It'll be okay, idk about performance differences but it'll most likely work. source- replying using a computer with 1 4GB and 1 8GB stick also I've mixed up the ram in lots of systems with different capacities per stick and never seen any impacts, but maybe others have had different experiences
  13. I know every time I set up a laptop I reinstall windows to get rid of all the bloatware like McAfee and stuff, haven't heard about custom built PCs installing their own stuff like that though.
  14. Fusion 360 is pretty nice for design, it's free for students but if you're gonna use it commercially you should probably buy it
  15. It doesn't look like you plugged the power button into the motherboard, according to the manual it's here
  16. Does the laptop go into a battery saving mode when it's unplugged?
  17. is this just like a "sort by lowest price" sort of thing?
  18. There comes a point where an obsession with video games goes too far and there's need for genuine concern. I have lost 20 GBP for saying this
  19. a GT710 or just the integrated graphics if he has it.
  20. the new mcdonalds sandwich

  21. How much are you spending on the 1080? Why not go for like a 2070 super? I'm also torn between recommending the 3600 or 3700
  22. The school'll be supporting it if it happens, the idea wasn't completely mine but one of the people who run the 3D printing/VR/electronics stuff room. was just the first one that came to mind, and also the X ___s 1 CPU videos usually use it so I figured it'd be easier to apply that to this project totally open to alternatives though.
