ID give synology a go for a simple plug and play nas box. Also look at qnap. IP over thunderbolt support might be nice here. Both of these companies have models with enough network jacks you can use them as a switch.
 
Also these nases are file level boxes normally, so you don't set the file system, it will manage that all for you, and just send the files you want from things like time machine.

So step 1 is download a hex editor.
Step 2 make a new recording using the same settings.
Step 3 open the new recording in the hex editor of your choice.
Step 4 open the currupt file
Step 5 look at the header data this should be the first chunk of data but it could also be at the verry end of the doc.
Step 6 if you can not find it in the currupt video make a copy of the file.
Step7 copy and paste the header data into the curupt one.  You may need to play around with some of the data if its been hardcoded into the header such as run time.

Is anyone that surprised? Modular phones haven't been successful before and who thought RED could make them popular? Especially when the phone itself costs the price of a midgrade laptop. If I wanted to spend that money for a camera, I'd rather buy myself a video or DSLR camera and a small backpack from Amazon for it. (in fact I did this already)
