  1. Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I just stumbled onto the same issue. Just bought a MSI GE76 Raider with 3080 and battery life was 4-5 hours before installing iCUE, but after installing iCUE I'm lucky to get 1.5 hours. Guess I'll be configuring the hardware profiles.
  2. I was browsing Amazon and saw this 3M brand mousepad. Looked pretty normal, but then my mouth dropped when I saw the main product claim. Apparently this mousepad will save you up to 50% of battery life because it makes the sensor in the optical mouse have to work half as hard. I'd like to see a $H1T MANUFACTURERS SAY video on this product. Here's the Amazon Canada link. 3M Precise Mouse Pad Enhances the Precision of Optical Mice at Fast Speeds and Extends the Battery Life of Wireless Mice up to 50%*, 9 in x 8 in (MP114-BSD1) https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00L2AN9PK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_taa_ToxZBbS4S9KFN
  3. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/ltt-firepole Link to the petition in question and initially it was a joke, but now I 100% fully support this cause. We need a #firepole in the new office. Bless #firepole. http://imgur.com/BUbqQn4 Also shit post by Newbie.

  5. Linus since you talked about the AudioEngine A2+ and A5+ in this video, could you do a full separate video on them? I've been really thinking about getting a pair of them, but I'm wondering if the A5+ will be too big or will the A2+ sound good enough. Also with the A5+ I will need a sound card because I'm using some pretty brutal realtek internal audio so I'm not sure if I wanna spend more than $500 for a desktop audio setup. The A2+'s would be a lot cheaper for me since they come with a built in DAC so I'd really like to get your opinion on both speakers and see if they're worth it. If you can do that then thanks.
  6. Please give me this phone. It looks awesome!
  7. Thanks for the replies guys. I've been browsing some other forums and the AIO water cooling solutions aren't for me. I like to overclock my CPU, but it's nothing major. I only use the basic overclock settings that come with my ASUS motherboard, and I only use it to crank my current i5 750 from stock 2.67ghz to 2.81ghz, so it isn't the most stressful overclock either. Also I feel a lot safer with air. I know that the failure rates are really low, but it's not something I want to manage. It's not the computer enthusiast that's afraid, but the electrician in me is afraid. Unless it's a hydro dam then liquid shouldn't be near anything that pushes current. It's just a big red flag in my brain.
  8. Hi I'm new to the forum so I apologize if I picked the wrong category to post this in, but anyways I'm looking to build a new system soon and I decided to use a closed loop water cooler like the Corsair H100i or NZXT Kraken since they are receiving fantastic reviews and a lot of people use them now, but while trying to find a water cooler I came across a few pretty conflicting views. Some people said that if you got a premium air cooler like the Noctua NH-D14 that it would perform just like the closed loop system except it would be quieter than a closed loop system, cheaper than a closed loop system, and that it would last a lot longer than a closed loop system because apparently closed loop water cooling systems need to be replaced every 3-5 years. I saw those comments and ever since then I've been on the fence about getting a closed loop system. I heard that it was the best system that you could get next to a full water cooling system with an independent pump, but if the difference is something small like a couple of degrees and a couple of really loud fans then I would rather spend my money on a premium air cooler. So I was wondering what are you guys thoughts about this subject? Can a premium air cooler really perform as good as a water cooler if it's a closed loop system, or are those people full of bull? Thanks.
