  1. Hi, this is for a desktop setup. (not a laptop) Can you just recommend me amp and passive bookshelf speakers. I will get one after the other. The Australian Market doesn't exactly have everything but getting but almost anything that's available in general can be imported (no import duty just shipping costs). I do not have the knowledge or the money to go for a high-end setup rn, so I am planning on having an iterative upgrade path. eventually replacing all with better components. Also, a dumb question, Can I use the speaker amp for my headphones as well? ( I am assuming yes) Right now, all I need is an external speaker, but I want to do it right wrt the money I spend. I can either get the amp now, passive speakers 6 months down the line, or, get powered speakers now, and the amp 6 months down the line then upgrade my headphones with it. also, I assume I will need a DAC only if there is noise in my signal, or is there a benefit to upgrading the DAC? ( my motherboard is MSI B450 M Pro) I am still trying to learn and apply. But it gets whelming very fast. Thanks a lot for the previous answer tho.
  2. My budget is roughly 200 AUD per component (for speakers, if bookshelf style, both should come is 200 AUD) So first is the speakers and then the next will be 6 months down the line. mwave.com.au is the best site to start at. But the Aussie world is weird, no single store has most of the brands. mightyape.com.au is another site that has a few options addictedtoaudio.com.au
  3. I want to get a good audio Setup. I am planning to build a satisfactory setup over time. ( I currently live in a dorm room and moving into an apartment) I currently use AKG K92 headphone and a blue mic. I need a decent speaker, not looking for wireless portable BT speakers as i would prefer the BOM to be spent on audio quality over battery and water resistance. I live in Australia, currently considering R1700BT Any other suggestions? Will I need an AMP/DAC Do I need to invest in an interface? (Also, i was planning to use my boss katana air as a workable speaker for YT audio, but the browser crashes everytime I select that as my audio device)
  4. I am a Uni student doing his masters program, and I have an unreasonable amount of tabs on my laptop at any given time. My ram is stuck at 94% of the available 16gb. Sadly the RAM in my laptop is not user upgradable, and I am considering changing my laptop. I still want something that is not v heavy and has a long battery life (8-12 hours is the target). I am open to hearing laptop suggestions too, as I do not see any other option for me. I am currently considering getting a refurbished macbook pro 14"/16". But the biggest question in my mind is, should I go with the 16 GB ram model to save money as Apple charges unreasonable money for a 32 gb model. (would love some windows based laptops as suggestion too under 2500 AUD/1700 USD)
  5. On 31st of December i found my my nicehash made no money and my internet wasn't working. i stopped the mining and got to my work, 10 mins after stopping i had my internet back working. I thought it was a coincidence. But throughout the day i found out that 5 mins into mining, my internet stops working. I am on wired connection and my wifi still provides internet, it is just my PC that loses internet. I tried using PIA thinking it might be some kind of geoblocking that Indian govt might be implementing without any legal procedure (happens), but my internet still crashed. Asus RT-AC 1200 is my wifi router, in case that matters.
  6. Yes, I looked into that but a Raspberry cannot manage to play a YouTube video at 720p. Need something more powerful.
  7. I have a 2013 Sony TV that had inbuilt apps but now due to lack of support from Sony, newer streaming services are not available as an app. So i considered buying Amazon firestick, and due to the recent news on the way amazon is handling the data they are getting from alexa, i decided not to buy that and i am not able to find any other wholesome device here in India. so i thought it would be fun to make my own android box that can solve my issue, i do have some experience with diy projects but i have no idea where to start in this case. it would be really helpful if you people can help me figure out what to do and i will keep this page updated all the time.
  8. The Indian market is quiet messed up, g810 costs 2 times the cost of blackwidow croma V2. the only keyboards that fit in my budget rn are Hyperx alloy elite and Coolermaster Masterkeys pro L. So can someone help me decide between the two.
  9. I was using Razer Blackwidow 2016 and the keyboard has started failing on me, not registering a few buttons and when they do register i get 4-6 outputs, need something that will last for 4 years else i cannot justify another Mechanical keyboard purchase as this did not even last for 2 complete years. Want something tactile clicky. Was using the g402 since launch, now i want to buy a wireless mouse, should i buy logitech G603 or G304 as these are the only wireless gaming mice in India that i could find.
  10. I am upgrading from gtx 970 and i am getting a 1080ti from Nvidia's website for the price of 1070 in market. But I don't Want to spend on any other parts. (this is the situation in India)
