ive got a 650W Seasonic Focus PX-650 80+ Platinum, and since my cpu and other devices dont draw that much power i think it should handle that fine

I have the possibility to buy second hand of my friends either a RTX 2060 Super ór a Asus Strix GTX 1080TI, but i am not sure which would be better for my system and usecase. I would likely not make use of the Raytracing function of the 2060 if i went for that, sincei believe it works better on the higher end cards, but im not sure if its DLSS 2.0 would make it better I mainly play Racing sims (Assetto Corsa, PCARS 2, iRacing) and since recently some VR games. i also often work on making liveries using GIMP and social media posts. Both cards are in great condition and work as normal. I have done some research online to see which one is better overall, which was the 1080TI. But i dont know what card could make the most with my current CPU. My main screen is 1440P 144Hz VR Headset is Oculus Rift S Quick details of my system: i5 10400F (might upgrade soon) 16GB HyperX 3200MHz MSI B460M BAZOOKA (might upgrade soon due to PCH limit) (Currently) Gigabyte GTX 970 Windforce

hello, Im experimenting with Ubuntu 20.04.1 (im trying to learn the os/learn Linux in general, basics and trying out a few things etc), and i need to move a folder to the icons folder. Im trying to do this with the mv command, with sudo at the start. but when i try to move files via said command i get a Directory not empty error. Me being used to Windows, i dont know what this means at all. Ive tried googling some info about it, but i myself cant find anything that actually helped or anything that doesnt sound too confusing - so thats why im asking here :') folder im trying to move is called "Windows-10-master" (following a site with instructions on how to make Ubuntu kinda look like Windows 10, looked fun to me dont judge me about it) and im trying to move it to icons: Computer usr share icons

True true, but should i be worried about if the wrong power or somrthing goes through the wrong pins because the layout is just slightly different or should i go for it?

I would like to use a "more modern" psu for my HP XW9300 Workstation motherboard because my dad once took it apart and I had to reassemble it whilst not having all the screws because he lost them and i iust simply dont really trust it anymore. The original is a DPS -750CB A REV:03 F and i want to swap it with a Cooler Master GX550. It would sortoff fit but im worried about the CPU power connector. Ive provided 2 images of the DPS and the Cooler Master 8 pin cpu connector layout (sorry for the bad quality my camera does not like to focus) and for as far as i can see is the layout on the right half of the pins is not correct.

Ive got an HP XW9300 Workstation that id like to put Windows 10 on, but every tine i try to do that i get error ExpressChange128 is missing or something. A friend of mine looked it up and according to him it either could be a CPU or a RAM error. The CPU's (2x AMD Opteron 285) could be too old even though we checked in HWinfo on Windows 7 (because yes that does still run on it and i know its now dead and im still sad about it ?) and according to it it should be able to run it. Ive tried booting from a bootable Windows 10 ISO with Rufus, which only gave a windows logo, ive tried doing it whilst in windows 7 but only via that i get that ExpressChange128 error. As i said its got 2 AMD Opteron 285's, per cpu its got 2 sticks of 200MHz 512MB DDR2 ECC memory from Kingston i believe, some random WD Blue 160GB hard drives, ATI Radeon HD4300/4500 Series GPU and its 750Watt power supply. Very much thinkingnits the ram but i hope its not the CPU's :')

well i can go into the speaker settings (every time i plug any headphone in i get a menu asking what type of audio device i plugged in, like headphones, headphones with microphone etc.) but nothing changes really

recently got a new/refurbished laptop from my dad, its a Dell Latitude E5540 and i was and still am very happy wiht it, especially when you compare it to a 8 year old Dell Precision M4600. but for some reason i can't get the audio to work properly. the speakers work fine but the earphone connnection works only like half, when i play music there is no bass at all and when i watch a regular video there also isnt any bass and all the other audio is a bit bugged. i went to the official dell website, typed in my service tag and downloaded the correct audio driver (Realtek High-Definition Audio Driver, released 22nd of July 2015 https://www.dell.com/support/home/nl/nl/nlbsdt1/product-support/servicetag/0-MGVCbUtVbTVWRlZjOVVuWTUrYW5Jdz090/drivers ) but it still gives the same problems. im not sure if theres a problem with the port though, because we had a usb to 3.5mm adapter, which we tried, and hey i got my bass back and it seems to work fine. but when i plug it into the 3.5mm of the laptop its broken again. is there anything else i could do at this point?

well ive tried it mupltie times and it doesnt work so i guess im a little fucked anyway lmaooo, ill try to wait until the battery died and plug it back in and turn it on, this is gonna take hOurs though because i had plenty of battery life left so oof :')

but the problem is, that NONE of the buttons do anything. its literally stuck

so i was trying to wipe the cache in the Android Recovery menu by powering off my A70, holding the power and volume up button for a bit, slect wipe cache, let it do its thing and when i had the option to reboot the device, i cannot do anything. buttons not doing anything at all. help is it best for me to let it run out of power and then see what i can do or is there anyhting i can do without needing to wait multiple hours becuase of its big battery???

so my dad is upgrading from his Samsung Galaxy S5 to a Samsung Galaxy A50. hooray, but when we put in his old SD card it gave an error, and it says we need to format the SD card. but, how can i back up the data from that SD card so that it can work with the A50? should i only copy the files with all the images and music etc. or should i copy everything (including Andriod, LOST.DIR and files like those?

so for my new gaming pc build im planning to use the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS IX HERO as my motherboard and the Intel Core i7 9700K, but im not sure if they are both compatible, because on the ASUS website for the MAXIMUS IX it says its made for the 7th and 6th gen Intel Processors

so this is the first time im trying to set up my own Minecraft Server. i downloaded and installed the most recent version of Java, installed Minecraft Server 1.14.4, and put that server file in a seperate Folder in my D drive named "MinecraftServer". i opened CMD as administrator, and i then typed as followed: Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.18362.30] (c) 2019 Microsoft Corporation. im currently using an old HP XW9300 Workstation motherboard which has 2 AMD Opteron 285's both running on 2.6 GHz. and i use programs like an older version of NZXT's CAM and HWInfo to monitor my PC's components, but i can only feel the 1st CPU's heatsink actually warm up, i cant feel any on the second one (the one on the right). in NZXT only 1 one of them shows up, but in HWInfo they both show up?? and also is it possible to enable hyperthreading on this thing? the option to do so doesnt show up in the bio0s but perhaps i should update that?

i know its an old laptop, but im looking for the fastest (and supported) memory for this laptop. any recommendations or is it too old to even spend money on lmao
