  1. Hi everyone, Hope you'll are staying safe out there. So I work as a graphic designer for a publication house and I'm trying to buy a new monitor for my office work. After doing some research, I came across Asus ProArt PA27AC which seem to be in the sweet spot on features and price. I just want to know if you'll have any experience working with this monitor. Especially color correction work as this monitor will mainly be used for that purpose. Also one big reason that I chose this because it is said to be supporting Adobe RGB (at least in some websites). I'm a bit confused on that and does it really a big deal when it comes to printing or a 100% sRGB monitor should be enough. I appreciate any feedback from you guys and if you are going to make any other suggestions please make them for the following brands as I do not live in US or Europe and the availability is very limited in my country. Asus, Benq, Dell Thanks and have a good day.
  2. I might try and see what happens with a Display Port cable. If that didn't work out, does that mean that this is only a 8bpc monitor??
  3. Hi, I tried doing that too. But I don't see any option for 10bpc. Only the 8bpc is available...
  4. Hi everyone, So I bought a Viewsonic VX3276-2k-mhd monitor which supports 10bit color(at least that's what it says on the website). I'm trying to use 10bit color on the monitor but I'm having trouble doing that. When I searched online, a lot of topics are saying that I can enable it on the nVidia control panel but the options these topics are mentioning are greyed out on my control panel. I'm using a Gigabyte GTX 1070. I'm using a HDMI cable to connect the monitor to the PC. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
  5. I can't exact about the room temperature but I would say it's in the high twenties. It's warm and I'm not wearing a shirt. Temps just before posting this is attached. Now it's in the mid 50s Thank you sir for pointing me to Cinebench. Downloading and going to run it.
  6. Thank you for the quick reply. I'm thinking of running Rise of Tomb Raider at 2k resolution on Very High settings while HWMonitor running in the background. Will that be a good way to stress the system and get some temp readings under load? I don't want to download big benchmarking tools because I won't be checking my system stats frequently and I'm planning to replace the stock cooler tomorrow so just need some numbers to compare.
  7. Hi everyone, I installed CPUID HWMonitor and these are the temperatures shown in the first few minutes.(see the highlighted) The CPU Temps are in the high 60s and this is without any gaming or heavy load(browsing the web at the moment of capture). My GPU is at 42C. Just wondering if this is normal temps for a i5 8400. My Specs are, i5 8400 with stock Intel cooler Asus Prime Z370-A Mobo Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 16GB RAM Noob here doing system testing for the first time so any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.
  8. I'm sure many would go bananas if that was for real. Anyways it a great build man. Hats off to you sir for doing something this difficult as your first build.
  9. Hi everyone, Thought I join the other 10000+ people who are looking for a new monitor. Jokes aside, I'm in the market for a new monitor I would like to get your inputs as well. I'm planning on getting this from China and I can do some online research based on your recommendations. My requirements are as followed; Size: 32 inch (that's a must) Using for: media consumption - 60%, gaming - 30% and graphic designing work - 10% Resolution: 2k Refresh Rate: can be anything Panel: prefer a IPS or a VA. I heard that the color reproduction in TN are bad and I love my colors Budget: USD 250 - 350 The monitor doesn't necessarily have to be a gaming monitor but I like something pretty. Currently I have these two option in my mind; https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/f3b91101 https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/c835107f Any and all help are appreciated. Thanks.
  10. fair enough. I anyway have a Cryorig C7 on hand but this looks far better with the RGB lighting (yes I'm one of those RGB loving people ).
  11. well as long as it performs better than an intel stock cooler :D. For me it looked a bit more like an AMD stock cooler. The price is very cheap since its on sale. Just on the fence to see if I want one or not.
  12. Hi Everyone, Has anyone used or seen this product? It's got all the bells and whistles and Aura Sync (which is not mentioned in the Aura Sync website BTW). Any thoughts? Thanks. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Aigo-darkflash-shadow-TOP-FLOW-CPU-Cooler-AURA-SYNC-TDP-280W-PWM-4pin-Double-Ring-LED/32933648216.html?spm=a2g01.12009127.best-value.130.143459bbRwRdjz&gps-id=5774313&scm=1007.14772.117344.0&scm_id=1007.14772.117344.0&scm-url=1007.14772.117344.0&pvid=fbafb245-9513-490d-b123-ae3e0e024232
  13. @Jurrunio, @CUDAcores89, @Mooshi, Thank you all for the replies. Now that I know that rubbing alcohol and surgical spirit are the same, I'll take a look around local pharmacies to find one with high concentration. @CUDAcores89, seeing my computer or any of it's parts near water or a tap will give my mom a heart attack so no go for the tap water Thank you all for the replies.
  14. Thank you for your reply. Is rubbing alcohol and surgical spirit(stuff used to clean wounds) the same?
  15. Hi guys, So I bought a Cryorig C7 to replace the stock Intel Cooler that came with my i5-8400. I have not done this before and I was wondering will there be any thermal paste on the CPU? I know that the stock cooler comes with pre-applied thermal paste but I don't know if that thermal paste is on the CPU which means I'll have to clean it but I don't have anything to do that. So guys what I want to know is that can I replace the CPU cooler for the first time without having to clean the CPU. If I can then it's good but if I can't then what kind product that I should use to clean the surface of the CPU. Hope I made myself clear. Thanks and hoping to see a reply soon from you guys.
  16. I agree that anime can be addictive. I spend full weekends watching Naruto But I'm taking it easy now, I see a lot of interesting titles in your anime list. Looks like I got my anime fix I checked out a tutorial for EqualizerAPO and it looks like it doesn't let you sett different settings for different applications. But I'm going to try it anyway and see. I found a EQ config for my speakers on the other website you mentioned so I'm going to try that see.
  17. I'm just getting in to Anime now thanks to a couple of my friends. DN was the first anime I watched and it got me hooked. I'm anyway looking for some good anime these days to watch(Tokyo Ghoul is next). I'll keep your suggestions in my mind.
  18. @Light-Yagami Thanks alot for the quick response. I will check these out and see. You and I are in the same boat when it comes to audio mixing. As long as it's clear, I'm good. PS: Fan of Death Note??
  19. Hi Everyone So I'm using a Asus Prime Z370-A Mobo with a Logitech Z313 speakers. As I'm using my PC for gaming, music listening and movies, I have to constantly adjust the audio settings(EQ and other settings) which is kinda annoying. So I want to know is there a way maybe a software or something that I can use to edit the audio settings once, save them and tie to different applications so that the settings will change automatically when I run the corresponding software. Any help will be great. Thanks
  20. Hmm, that's news to me. All this time I was thinking that too much=burnout.
  21. Hi everyone, So I have a Asus Z370-A Prime Mobo with one RGB header and I'm planning on connecting A Phanteks Halos RGB Fan Frame, A CM Universal LED Strip and A CableMod Widebeam 60cm RGB LED strip using a splitter cable. I did some research and found out that the total wattage for all of these items will be 13.74W. My Mobo header can output 36W(12V@3A) so I know that the header is sufficient. But I can't help but wonder what will happen if I burn my RGB header by chance or accident. I want to know if I overload and burn the RGB header, can my Mobo still be functional? All my equipment are under warranty but I know that will void on any damage or burns so just want to make sure. Thanks.
  22. Hi everyone, As the title say I have a CableMod Widebeam Magnetic LED strip which I'm wondering if I can connect to my MoBo using a RGB extension cable. I'm using a Dell P2417h monitor and I probably would have to use double sided tape to mount it but I'm concerned if the magnets in the LED strip might damage my monitor. Is there any chance for that to happen? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
  23. I recently bought Cablemod Widebeam 60cm LED strip for 18USD. They are Aura compatible. https://store.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-widebeam-magnetic-rgb-led-strip/
  24. Well I've been shopping on Tmall for the last few weeks since a friend of mine who's in China agreed to get some stuff down for me. But the stuff I saw was actually close to the US price. Maybe a bit higher or lower. I saw a 140mm aer twin pack with Hue+ close the $89 price mentioned in the NZXT website. But getting all that for the cheap price you have mentioned raise some doubt for me. Tmall have certain shops named "(brand)flagship store". Might want to check them out. To my knowledge the prices should somewhat similar to the price you'll see on Newegg or Amazon(that's how I check for prices). Hope this helps.
