  1. Hello Guys, As mentioned above, In Demo-Hero mode of DOTA 2, the FPS easily reaches 150 to 160 FPS But when I get into a game or even a Local Bot-Match to test it out, I Only get 60-80 FPS. I know my system can definitely give me high fps in DOTA 2 so what am I missing here? Is there any fix for this? ---- What I've Tried So Far: - Re-install Dota - DOTA is already in an SSD - Updated to latest Nvidia Drivers - Tried Vulkan - Lowering the graphics settings to the lowest or even the render quality to 10% only increases FPS within the Demo Hero Mode. When In-Game or a bot match.... The FPS Remains the SAME no matter if I set it to ultra settings or the lowest. It neither increases or decreases. Only around 60-80 FPS. - Tried Nvidia Ultra Low Latency Mode Nothing has worked so far. P.S. Temps are normal. Nothing too high. ---- My Specs: - Operating System - Windows 10 Pro 64-bit - CPU - Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.00GHz - Haswell 22nm Technology - RAM - Corsair Vengeance 20.0GB - Motherboard - MSI Z97 GAMING 3 (MS-7918) (SOCKET 0) - Graphics - VG278 (1920x1080@165Hz) - 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER (NVIDIA) 48 °C - Storage - 238GB TS256GSSD370S (SSD) 35 °C - 13039GB Western Digital WDC WUH721414ALE6L4 (SATA) 40 °C - 1863GB Seagate Expansion Desk USB Device (SSD) 35 °C - Optical Drives - No optical disk drives detected - Audio - Sonarworks Virtual Audio Device Please help. Dota 2 FPS High in Demo-Hero Mode but Low In-Game / in Bot Match
  2. Hello There, I have two PC's and I just got Express VPN subscription. In one PC, Split-tunneling works perfectly i.e. I want VPN only on chrome and not other browsers. In my Main PC, If I enable split-tunneling - It works Only on chrome and NO-Where Else on the entire PC. Not even on game launchers like steam and battlenet. What I've tried to resolve so-fate. Uninstalled and Re-installed Express VPN Updated Windows Updated Killer Network (my ethernet) Drivers to latest version Tried Static IP and Dynamic IP on my Ethernet Adapter. Tried ALL different protocols on Express VPN. Tried Express VPN Version 7.0.1.7156 and also now using 7.2.2. Tried DNS - 156.154.70.1 and 156.154.71.1 Tried Cloudflare DNS fully - 1.0.0.1 and 1.1.1.1 Tried Google DNS as well. Disabled Express VPN DNS Nothing Worked So Far. Nothing Worked So Far. 3. @lewdicrous - No Edge is just using 512mb. Even If I freshly start the PC and leave it on without touching it, for say 20-30 minutes, the RAM usage automatically goes up but it DOESN'T show any app using the memory. Only that the memory usage it high. And nothing is shown on the resource monitor as well. There isn't any particular app that's causing this.
  4. Hello Guys, I'm not sure but I think this came after the May 2019 Update of windows 10 mostly I believe. Often when the PC is idle or left on for a while, there's EXCESSIVE RAM usage but no apps are even opened. Please find the below screenshots for reference. FYI, I have 12 GB of DDR3 Corsair Vengeance RAM - Dual Channel. My PC Specs are also attached from Speccy. Please help. Any suggestions much appreciated.
  5. Thanks but I'm not seeing anything unusual here. However, I tried applying the tricks I've collected over the years all-together again and it seemed to do the trick. Although, it takes at least once for the thumbnails to fully load, from the next time, it doesn't load again and slow down. The tricks are in the files attached below word docs from websites. 6. It doesn't seem to be one drive @gabrielcarvfer . I've uninstalled it and also tried stopping the windows search index. Any other ideas?
  7. Okay, I'll try stopping and if not..even uninstalling it and see if it helps and Revert back immediately (in 5 minutes or less)
  8. Yes actually. Wait...Are you honestly telling me THAT is causing this somehow?
  9. ISSUE: Windows 10 File explorer keeps reloading thumbnail everytime I visit a new folder and on every restart Hello there, I've seen quite a number of videos on youtube and tech support answers to fix the issue but I'm really really tired of having the same problem always. I've checked out the registry fix of thumbnail cache, resetting thumbnail cache and few others. Nothing fixes. When it loads, My PC becomes dead slow until it finished fully despite my hardware. Please help. P.S. All drivers are up to date. 10. Hey guys, I've tried quite a few things to fix this yet it persists. Everytime I open a drive or folder or a sub-folder, it takes aeons (exaggeration) to fully load it and even the mouse slows down until it's done. And it doesn't occur on ONLY folders with tons of images or videos or anything. It occurs on ALL folders/sub-folders. It also occurs on my 2tb External drive as well. Things I've tried so far to fix: 1. Increase windows thumbnail cache size via registry 2. Defragment HDD 3. Reduce temps of processor and HDD On Hard disk sentinal , Internal Hard disk Health is at 80% (1TB) External HDD (2TB) is at 100% Problem occurs on all devices as fore mentioned. My Specs: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Intel Core i7 4790K Non OC MSI Z97 Gaming 3 Mobo. 931GB Seagate ST31000528AS (SATA) 1863GB Seagate Expansion Desk USB External HDD 238GB TS256GSSD370S (SSD) 12.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz RAM 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti Any Ideas?
