  1. My mum needs a laptop in the near future. It'll be mainly used for internet browsing, office applications, mail checking etc. and it will probably be used in one place with a mouse most of the time. It should not be a Chromebook and for the sake of my sanity not a MacBook. Moreover, it should support display out preferably HDMI as well as having full size USB ports. It should be a bit more on the premium side in terms of build quality and aesthetics and have a decent keyboard. Currently the Galaxy Book2 (i5-1235U15"Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics16GB512GB) is a strong contender. Does anyone know a bit more about this laptop or have other recommendations? What is something to look out for when choosing a laptop in that price segment?
  2. Windows is fully up to date. But I have Corsair ICue and Asus Armoury Crate running and both needed an update. Also I have Asus GPU Tweak II running sometimes (I auto launches on startup sometimes, idk why) but made sure this is closed this time and not a background task. Today the PC lived through the night so either something worked or I was just lucky. I will keep that in mind if the issue reoccurs. vertigo220 suggested that too and might be it. The board is only a year old but it came flashed to be Ryzen 5000 ready so. If the problem persists I'll try that too.
  3. It used to be rare when it started but now especially after I made sure to update Windows to the latest Version it happened quite frequently not every time but often. However it only happens when I let the PC sit over night. When I sent it to hibernate and then immediately wake it it does not happen. I might try the Linux idea with a USB stick. I also just read someone suggesting to turn hibernate off and on again in windows. I did that but don't know why it should work but I hope it does.
  4. I usually sent my PC into hibernate over the night but recently it crashes quite often when I try to power it on. I usually get fan-spin and the bios splash screen but the it just shuts down no bulescreen no nothing. I get a Kernel-Power 41 (63) critical event in the event-viewer with varying BugcheckCodes. I am running Windows 10 Home 22H2 and when i sent my pc to hibernate usually only Steam, Chrome, Discord and Task-Manager are running. I never experience instability under high load and the error only occurred recently running fine before. My Specs: Ryzen 7 5800x 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 8GB sticks (successfully passed a Memory Integrity check) MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus running latest BIOS ASUS GeForce RTX 3070 Ti TUF GAMING OC LHR Running latest Game-ready drivers completely reinstalled via GeForce-Experience Bootdrive: Samsung 980 PRO 1TB latest firmware and successful Integrity check via Samsung Magician and BIOS Corsair RM850 (2021), RM Series, 850 Watt 80 Plus Gold I have not overclocked anything apart from enabling XMP. Resizable-Bar and Virtualisation are enabled. Fast-Startup is disabled. I don't intend to reinstall windows or update to Windows 11 but I don't really know what to do as most threads online about this just suggest something obvious like perform windows Power-Troubleshooting and then the thread dies. Are there anymore Infos I need to provide. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
  5. The Situation: I run a dual monitor setup with two different monitors (Odyssey G7 LC32G75TQSRX connected via DP 1.4 and Samsung T24D390EW connected via HDMI) powered by an RTX 3070TI in a Windows 10 Home machine with fresh GPU drivers. This setup worked normally for a while. Though When the PC woke up from hibernation/sleep mode or just when the monitor output ended when being afk all windows moved to the second screen and then to the main on. A behaviour that I did not experience when I used a Samsung G27FG73FQU also connected via DP (I believe v. 1.4). If anyone has an Idea regarding how to solve this I'd be happy but at least persistent windows is a thing. This behaviour existed from the start but the behaviour I have my main issue with occurred somewhat recently. The Issue: Whenever I power on my PC or wake it up from sleep/hibernation or just want to get an Image back after the Monitor turned black the following happens: I experience the behaviour described in the prior paragraph and at first my monitors display an image. A few seconds later the displays go black and if I attempt to move a window around while the display is dark it will be returned to it's original position when the Image comes back a few seconds later. When the image comes back the DP connected monitor also shows the input source on it's onscreen display overlay. The only exception to this is when I immediately move the mouse after the image went away due to the afk timer. I hope that this is the right place to ask and that someone might have an idea what's going on.
  6. If it's not to much of a bother I'd take a look at it.
  7. I recently bought a RTX 3070Ti and wanted to get a better monitor. I wanted to go from 1080p to 1440p and keep the high refresh rate. It should be somewhere between 27 and 32 inches in sices. I have been looking at 3 Samsung monitors that seem decent but vary in price. Is the price difference between those monitors worth it and are there equivalent or better monitors for these prices? SAMSUNG S27AG500NU Odyssey Gaming G5A 27 Inch ~299.–€ SAMSUNG S32AG520PU 32 Inch ~ 489.99€ SAMSUNG Odyssey G7 (C32G74TQSR) 32 Inch ~ 549.99€ Also I am not sure about 1000R curved monitors. Are they good to use with 24" flat second monitor?
  8. I have a Corsair 850RM powersupply and each the PCIe power cables have an 8 pin and 6+2 pin connector. I want to power an Asus TUF RTX 3070 TI with it (It has 2 8 pin slots). Would power via just the one cable (both the 8 and 6+2 pin plugged in) be enough or do I need two PCIe cables?
  9. The Lian Li seems interesting but is only available at online retailers I have never heard of or shipping is expensive/slow They are both a good bit more expensive. especially the 5000d is twice the price of the ones listed. But thanks for the recommendation. Germany, and around 80€.
  10. The case needs to house an I7-4790 and a GTX 1070 and it should be good but not too expensive. NZXT H510 Corsair 110Q Corsair 275R They is only a few euros difference between them so the price is not a factor. I consider them all aesthetically decent so that is not a crucial factor either. Which of these would be the best choice for that especially considering noise and temps?
  11. So I currently have a GTX 1070 Strix version that I'm really happy with. No coil whine, fans that stay off whenever the system idles, looks good. I wanted to get an RTX 3070 TI. The TUF version is 789,99€ right now and the Strix version (it is an oc card) goes for 889,99€. Is this just an oc version and RGB tax I would be paying extra or are ASUS Strix cards actually better?
  12. This is for upgrading Budget (including currency): ~620€ give or take Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Main focus is gaming (newer AAA etc.), however it'll be also used for compiling and occasional 3d rendering Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm currently running a GTX 1070 with an I7 4790 and 16 gb if ddr3. While not bad I wanted to build a new PC but since GPUs are hard to come by for a reasonable price I just want to upgrade since I find myself more often then not CPU limited. (Monitors: 1080p at 144hz and 1080p at 60hz) I am planning to stick with my Corsair carbide 600c case, my 650 watt power supply, my PCIe WiFi card as well as my 4 sata drives and my sata DVD drive. And get an M.2 nvme SSD later down the line. I wanted to get an Ryzen 7 5800x to in the future pair with an RTX 3070 or the equivalent on the market when prices come down. I'm not sure however if the Ryzen 7 would present the best value or an Ryzen 5 5600x would be good enough and at over 100€ less present a significantly better price to performance ratio. My current shopping list/plan is as follows: Ryzen 7 5800x (~ 379,00€) Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz (~ 72,90€) However I'm not sure on the mainboard. The current contenders are: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus (~ 113,00€) Asus ROG Strix B450-F Gaming II (~ 107,90€) ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming(~ 171,90€) with the latter on being significantly more expensive and I was wondering whether the second one which I'm tending towards is suited for it. Are there better price to performance boards I missed. Moreover I would need a new CPU cooler. I'm not sure what to get. Nocuta is good but not exactly cheap. What would be suitable coolers air or aio for around 60-70€. Should I stick to my Ryzen 7 plan or would you recommend another CPU and if not what would be an advisable mainboard and cooler combo?
  13. Yes i can get it back to what it used to be by zooming but that should only be a temporary fix. and yes that is 100% not intended. know how it looked before and it looks normal in any other browser
  14. So I just figured out that ctrl + a number key goes to the corresponding tab but not knowing that only goes for 1-8. I wanted to try whether 10 would be working, so held control and pressed 10 but ctrl + 0 resets zoom and now I have a black frame around my first tab or more precise around the page that was in the first tab when I did it. Closing the tab doesn't help. Neither does refreshing or restarting chrome. It looks like what you see in the attached image (but around the whole page). Does anyone know how to fix that?
  15. Regarding what you said, werecraft. I was mainly asking since the mp4 files are rather big and it may be possible to further compress as mp4 files are usually smaller. Furthermore similar to what pmnove said, I was searching whether there is an archiving format that may take a lot of processing time so it is impractical for general use but good for archiving videos. that's why I'm asking-
