  1. It really depends on what you need the VPN for. If you're going for security or privacy, any free VPN will basically be useless or even worse than having no VPN. You can almost guarantee that if a VPN is free they're making money by making you the product - they're probably selling your data or at the very least keeping extensive logs on everything you do. If you don't really care about that and are just trying to bypass a firewall or mask your IP, I've used windscribe in the past and they have 10 GB of free data, which is a pretty good deal for the speeds they offer.
  2. I've heard good things about the Blue Snowball, it's good quality for the price but is a little bit finicky to use in terms of design imo
  3. Quick note, I have heard this from a lot of people but I'm not sure it's a consistent issue. I've had to contact their support team a few times in the past 2 years that I've had PIA and I've usually gotten a very thorough, albeit slow response. I'd personally rather have something slow and helpful verses something copy and pasted from their helpdesk quick answers, but I can see why some people still consider that bad support.
