    Many people who aren't experienced with Overwatch, or don't pay attention much to the higher levels of play, tend to write it off as a low-skill game.  While, most apparently, it is focused on fast-paced action, the strategy comes in the many subtle little details that are hard to see up-front.  While mechanical skill is an important component, the vast majority of competitive players are extremely lacking in game-sense, positioning, meta understanding, Ult economy, consistency, emotional stability and various other aspects.  I see a lot of people who are used to deathmatch FPS games go on to play Overwatch and then blame their lack of a very high win rate for the game being stupid and random, when they're really making significant errors strategically.  The issue that players truly struggle with in competitive Overwatch is how subtle all of these little errors are to the point where it's easy to just blame blatantly bad instances (such as smurfs, leavers, etc.) for losses rather than actually try to examine the gameplay footage and see what went wrong.  Smurfs, leavers, throwers, trolls happen at various different ranks and on both teams.  Surely, people are less inclined to attribute their victories to randomness when the enemy team comp is bad.  Overall, win rate is what matters.  A player can blame luck for maybe 20-30% of their losses, but if a player isn't making any errors, they should truly be ranking up.
     
    These are the factors that many people neglect:
    Are you dealing damage that kills enemies or just damage that enemy supports heal anyway? Are you helping your Rein/Orisa/Winston win the shield war? Are you punishing poorly positioned enemies and/or enemies with low health? When an enemy does kill you, do you look at their kill screen and report to your team mates their Ult percentage? Do you warn your team mates before you use your Ultimate? Are you using your Ultimate in a fight you can't win or one you've already won? If the enemy team has several heroes that are countering yours, do you switch to a hero that is more optimal for the matchup? Are you moving in an overly predictable manner (i.e. peeking against a Widow or Zenyatta repeatedly)? Do you have any out to Pharah and/or Flankers? Are you using the high ground effectively if the enemy mostly has short-range heroes? If the enemy runs a dive comp, do you try to protect your team mates on high ground? If you're using a hero with projectiles that don't have fall-off, do you stay far away? If you're using a hero with a wide spread hitscan attack, do you get close enough? When have each of the enemy team mates Ulted and which are due to Ult soon? If the enemy is running crowd control heroes, do you put some space between yourself and your team mates? Do you keep tabs on where all 6 enemies are positioned? If an enemy is not dead but still missing from the fight, are you anticipating their UIt? Do you prioritize killing supports and squishy DPS or do you just go for Tanks and shields because they're easy targets? If chasing an enemy takes too long and requires you to abandon your team for a significant amount of time, do you have the sense to walk away? When the enemy team captures the objective, do you escape and regroup your team, Do you use your Ults to aid in team fights or do you just use them to get kills or keep yourself alive? If you're playing Tank, are you staying by your team mates consistently to protect them?

    There's no definitive reason from Intel or otherwise why they switched to using TIM, but I found an article of sorts that provided some speculation as to why they did it. It basically boils down to Intel's CPUs have concentrated hot spots. This causes uneven heating and exacerbates thermal fatigue. If solder were used, this could create cracks in it, leading to so-called voids that decrease the thermal efficiency. AMD doesn't have this problem because a lot of their CPU dies have hot spots that are more spread out. But using TIM to avoid thermal fatigue issues appears to be supported further by the fact that Ryzen 3 and 5 APUs have TIM in them instead of being soldered.
     
    The article also shows that as long as the thickness of the TIM is thin enough, then its thermal conductivity plays even less of a role in heat transfer. Though this was by way of computer simulation, not really of any physical testing (I'd imagine it'd be pretty hard anyway for a person to get within 10um of precision)
     
    The article does mention something that's confusing, which is this bit:

Thermal conductivity is a different thing than the reciprocal of thermal resistance. That value is called thermal conductance.     The TIM that Intel uses (or has used), Dow Corning's TC-1996, isn't some cheap goop that people like to claim it is. It's a pretty decent performer as far as one review goes: https://www.hardwaresecrets.com/thermal-compound-roundup-august-2011/5/
     
    In any case, as far as I know, nobody has done any real formal study on the long term effects of using one or the other. Everyone just has speculation of the end result. But keep in mind that Intel is fully aware that their largest customer base, the professional and server market, is glacially slow to upgrade their hardware. For the sake of keeping customers, they can't just slap on cheapo thermal grease that gives out in three years and causes the processor to fry itself a year later. And heck, we have people here still using Core 2 processors, and that seems to be the earliest Intel started using TIM instead of soldering.

    Soldering isnt the best solution thermal wise. You can still delid your soldered CPU and gain about 4°C better temperatures using Liquid Metal.
    The real reasons why Intel isnt soldering aren't known, nobody knows. But there are arguments for soldering and against it, nothing is perfect in the end its still a mass produced product with flaws no matter what, no matter if its from Intel or AMD.

    ask them if it was overclocked to mine on or if they undervolted it, if they overclocked it stay the fuck away if they controlled the temps and cared about it it likely has had a better life than a gamer who would overclock it and let it run at 80c in games  but yes 320 is a great price for 1070 grab that shit up if its good

    The basic answer to your actual question is: 
     
    The bottom two are more indicative and important for normal client usage, as they indicate worst-case performance at low queue depths. The top two (high queue depth) are indicative of absolute best-case performance with heavy loads, like in a more enterprise environment.
     
    If you want to compare storage media, the most important metrics for responsiveness are random read latencies and random read speeds. Crystal Disk Mark doesn't check access latencies, but the bottom figure is completely random read speeds, so it's the most relevant figure to check if it's the only program you use.
     
    Hard drives struggle to get above 0.5MB/s, regardless of how good they are.

    I sent in my 7700k like 2 days before the Texas hurricane and they still got it back to me in a week. It was the same cpu (according to cpu-z) and it ran a hell of a lot cooler and pushed to 5.0ghz easily. When I sent it in 4.8 was hitting 95c on my h100i v2

    I thought about buying from them but their voltages are all over 1.4 volts for daily, as for the delid service if you're really nervouxe about it yes just do it with them but I'd recommend you do it your self if you're comfortable it's alot easier than people say I did my 8600k with a razor blade no vice or tool and there's 0 damage to anything

    Power consumption rises linearly with clock speed and exponentially with voltage - so any reduction in voltage that you can get will result in lower power consumption and heat generation. If you have a machine on all the time, the savings can be fairly dramatic when the machine is under load, but it won't affect your idle power consumption at all (since EIST already reduces voltages when the chip is idle, and you can only affect voltages for the full speed voltage plane).
     
    If you're willing to ensure that it's definitely stable, you only lose a little time and can potentially end up with a cooler operating, lower power and lower noise machine. If that sounds like something you want, I'd say go for it.
     
    And yes, it's basically the same as finding the lowest voltage when overclocking, except you never change the frequency.

    Just stick with core clock overclock.. leave the BLCK alone is what I would recommend to avoid other issues that can and do present itself with BLCK overclocking.
