  1. what do you mean different process isnt "pascal" pascal...??????????? id understand different core counts or what ever but process?
  2. its so you can take the side panel off and plug in there instead of the back of your PC so that when you turn your head too quickly your rip your GPU out giving you a true 4D experience, the liquids the noises its all VERY realistic
  3. thats probably it because with the stock cooler i couldnt even hold 1911mhz because the card went to 75c now that its under 60 its gone up apparently about 12-25mhz from adding a new cooler from what youve said on 12.5mhz bumps to clock speed
  4. yeah its got a dedicated 6pin PCI power cable but i also change the voltage in MSI afterburner and i dont see any differnce from +5% or +10% in thermals or in performance so i dont think that even does anything
  5. based off gaming bench marks from techtubers theres a minimal FPS gain to overclocking your CPU in fortnite for what ever reason it just doesnt care all that much about clock speed
  6. my PNY GTX 1050 TI cant seem to overclock past 1923mhz no differnce from +152mhz on the clock speed vs + 175 while gaming or stress testing temps are well under 60C i have an arctic accelero cooler on it so no problems there, memory can overclock to the max +1000 mhz for 4504 mhz but 1923 or 1911 is my GPUs limit it seems? i thought GPUs were unlocked
  7. so i notice that its really hard to find a TDP rating for a certain graphics card but basically any CPU has it listed somewhere official why aren't more or really any graphics card TDPs listed? they also sell after market cooling solutions for them so if thats the reason that seems a bit silly, is it because different PCB designs affect it so greatly? but even then why not have the " original / founders " PCBs TDP under stock conditions?
  8. nope looks good but like luke said spend the extra 5-10 bucks on 3000+ mhz memory its much better
  9. cooler is noctua NHL9x65 the bigger version of the NHL9i my thermal paste is MX-4 from arctic the delid TIM was conductonaut from thermal grizzly max temp after an hour of intel XTU stress test is 66c and after 3 runs of cinebenchR15 65c after 3 hours of idle its only at a temperature of 50 everything was closed and all background programs were ended i shut it off and left it for an hour and it still idles at 48-50c ive remounted the cooler ive tried using the noctua paste that comes with it idk what els to do why is a delided, liquid metal applied, locked i5 running at 50c while idle? if youre curios what my temps were like before delidding they were a max of 100c causing thermal throttling
  10. It shows it's running at .956volts under load
  11. Yes I just remounted it with fresh paste ensuring the screws were tight and no I am not using the low noise adaptor
  12. This motherboard bios doesn't have fan controll so what ever the stock is and I think it's about 800-1000 rpm
  13. No I used some conductonaut that I had left over from my 8600k delid
  14. I also had to delid it because as I said it was hitting thermal protections
  15. All the reviews say it's dried up and those are from 2 years ago but thanks I'll just buy some more
  16. I'm just going to say your assumtion is wrong because load temps aren't over 65c so how could the reseal be bad, I didn't even reseal it I scraped the old seal off and only used mounting pressure, and I have a noctua NHL9x65 the bigger of their low profile coolers
  17. No I mean tiny metal heatsinks because I'm swapping the stock cooler for an arctic accelero and you have to put heatsinks not pads on the VRM and memory so they don't overheat But nvm I'll just get a thermal adhesive
  18. So my i5 4440 gets hot and frequently hit thermal protections so I delided it, ever since then it's stopped doing that and it's super quiet and cool under load but it idles at 50+C is that a problem? Why does it idle so high My cooler is noctuas NHL9x65 and mx 4 paste, when I put in under load from Intel XTU it doesnt go over 66C but then idles back to over 50
  19. Can I attach GPU memory and VRM heatsinks with a thick thermal paste like noctua NTH1 instead of a thermal adhesive? Just wondering cause I have some already and don't have the adhesive
  20. so then is it worth it to apply something like a 2 or 3 avx offset so my clocks drop to 4.8 or 4.7 in avx? is it really just for power and thermal headroom? because i have that
  21. i have already won the lottery those are the specs ive ran my 8600k at after deliding, so would investing in a better board really help me maybe hit 5.4 or even 5.5 assuming thermals are okay? i havent pushed over 1.415 vcore to the chip yet either
  22. As an 8600k owner I run mine at 5ghz 1.295 vcore and I use the "le grand macho" from thermalright and run it 100% passivly
  23. One,i have an Asus prime z370-P motherboard, would getting a more premium board help me achieve better overclocks or at least more stable past 5.3ghz And 1.4vcore And two do I need to have some kind of AVX offset or LLC if my system is stable without it?
  24. Unless you managed to load it into bios and fried the chip overclocking it too hard then your 7700k is fine just return the z370 and buy a decent z270
