  1. Hey I just bought a new Graphics Card (ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 570 O4G Gaming OC Edition) and i used DDU to uninstall my previous Graphics Card and the new one keeps having weird Black Triangles that will flicker in and out during rendering of object in games. VR games show a grid of 16 dots (4 on top, 40 on side), or weird blocks on certain textures. blade and sorcery has weird triangles too where it will appear from characters. This has affected a few games VR and non VR, including, Just Cause 3, RecRoom, Superhot VR, Naruto Storm 4, Blade and Sorcery, (etc) but has not affect (so far) the Desktop (Videos, Youtube, etc), Dying Light, Final Fantasy XV and Metal Gear Rising, Beat Saber. This Card along with my previous AMD MSI R8 265 2GB card had issues with "Wattman being restored to default values due to a system failure" even when starting up the computer for the first time. This issue as not returned so far since Reseting Windows 10. Looking up on google my issue i have found these to try to fix the problem but so far I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, including various updates (17, 19.1, 19.3) from the disc, from Asus site and from AMD site.I have factory reset Windows 10, reinstalled it from scratch.I have looked in the BIOs and changed Power Saver Mode to Optimal Power Mode.I have tried Installing just the Driver and not the settings app.I have tried the Wattman control settings to give me more Power. (this so far hasnt changed anything after the Win10 Factory reset and also hasnt "Restored to default values" after Win10 Factory reset)I have changed Anti-Aliasing Method to Adaptive Multisampling Radeon SettingsI have Reset the Shader Cache in Radeon SettingsI have updated my BIOs on the Motherboard My PC Specs (from Speccy)OS Windows 10 Home 64bitCPU AMD FX-8350 8 Core 4.34GHzRAM 17GB DDR3 @ 577MHz (11-11-11-28)*Slot1: 1GB, Slot2: 4GB, Slot3: 8GB, Slot4: 4GBall are Kingston but the 1GB stick shows up as unknown?Motherboard Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0GPU 4096MB ATI ASUS Radeon RX570 SeriesPSU 650W Bronze Im not sure what is going on and i feel it may be a defective Out of Box card. but at the same time I dont think it is because more graphical heavy games dont do it but some do? Could it be the RAM? im gonna try that next, and remove the 1GB stick. Im also gonna look in my manual and look at the PCI-e slots and put it in the best one for it. Any Opinions or suggestions are more than welcome. just want to get playing VR finally as i have been working on this for the Past 4 days testing and researching the problem. It has been a long time since i did a factory reset on Windows 10 so that seemed to help some issues i was having so far, but not the Artifacting. Also the games i played that were non VR were in full 60FPS at 1080p and never dropped in frames, this includes artifacted games and the games that had no issues. VR games also were at mostly a good 90FPS with little drops to 45FPS when the dots would flicker along with the blocky textures. No frame dips or drops in Blade and sorcery except at the loading screen where it did the dots only. Beat Saber had absolutly no issues and ran like a dream, no dots, no artifacting. I was thinking this was at first the VR headset but now i am not so sure. i also tested the card on different TV's and Monitors and different cables so its not that. https://bioalpha7569.imgur.com/all EDIT: I have tested the RAM but nothing happened. Im uploading all the Images with the issues im having to this link here.
  2. Not necessarily fix it but make it last a little longer till it is dead. we both know its on its last leg lol. Thats why he paid me only $30 for it instead of the $200 i paid for it.
  3. Thank you for the Quick reply. that helps me immensely. so now i don't have to waste time trying to work on it xD. glad it wasn't the laptop it was in. lol.
  4. it is dying so i bought a new one and sold my old one for very cheap since it liked to be finicky and do it on and off. It wont be used for awhile too and he is gonna add some new Thermal paste to it to see if that helps. thank you everyone.
  5. Thank you everyone for commenting. He ended up buying the Wrong Gen CPU and the Wrong Motherboard combo. He was 1 generation off. he got the i7 8th gen but the Motherboard supported 7th gen. so hes gonna get a new Motherboard. Its taking him a long time to build it but hes almost done finally.
  6. Hey I am working on this laptop for a buddy and i pulled the hard drive out to see if i could load it up and it wouldnt read it all the way. I managed to format it but it was still having issues. Finally got it to load up and so i checked it in Piriform Defraggler. Im just wondering if this drive is dead, dying or if it is good and just needs some specific formating. Im gonna take a wild guess and say its dying. Pics included of Defraggler. Thank you everyone. The help is very much appreciated.
  7. I never Overclocked it for long and i dont think it comes out of the box Overclocked. Ive downloaded OC software before (MSI Afterburner) and made a profile before i messed with it (as a backup) and then tried overclocking it a little bit. switched it back cuz i got worried i would destroy my card. So i reset it back to the base Profile backup. and never touched it since. I personally dont know much about Overclocking at all so i tend to keep far from it. I heard it could damage your parts and i dont have much money to spend on parts galore for doing stupid stuff. lol. But if the Card comes overclocked out of box, how do i set it to base settings?
  8. to be honest im really hoping it is my gpu cuz im broke and just $60 feels like a waste if it turned out to be my motherboard crapping out in the PCI-E slots. I literally just bought a MSI R7 265 2GB DDR5 (what it says on the bag, yet to plug it in or anything to test if it works. its used) I looked it up and i got lucky price wise. Just wondering because of course i havent been home all day and left my PC off and since i got home after buying the card my old card has yet to redo it yet. so im waitng for it to do it again before i install the new card (cuz im gonna keep it cuz ill need it eventually)
  9. I forgot to mention i have tried that too. it does it on a different display too. i have also tried both DVI ports and the HDMI port. it does it on all 3. editing post to add that info in.
  10. Hello. I currently am having issues with my Graphics Card and i did a lot of troubleshooting. And i think my card is on its last legs and dying. I am looking to CONFIRM this if possible as i already bought a replacement. I started getting random checkerboard pattern, lines like a barcode either black, white or multicolored. Or a discolored screen with all the above included in it. It has done this on every screen, with and with out the driver installed, even in the BIOs screen (no pic unfortunately, will upload if i get it again). It even restarts with a BSOD and sometimes reboots in a really small resolution with Device manager saying a "Code 43" stating windows stopped the device. It is a Coming and Going problem. but the more it happens the more frequent it shows up in a short amount of time. Turning off the PC though for a day or so makes it go away for about 3 days (PC being on Non stop, personally tested). I have used DDU to uninstall the main Driver for the Graphics card to revert back to stock Windows driver. I tried Updating the drivers through Nvidia Geforce Experiance, through the Web browser by installing just the Driver. and i get the issues on everything. I tried Hooking up my Graphics card in my friends PC and wired my Powersupply up to it (his didnt have the right Wattage PSU) and only was able to test it for a short amount of time as he uses his machine. so i am unable to test this card in another machine for a long. I also tried 2 seperate cables and all 3 ports, DVI-I, DVI-D, and HDMI. and it does it in all ports. I tested it on 2 displays, and it does it on both. I have also tried doing a fresh install of Windows 10 through the keep files recovery option in the Settings backup and recovery section. And it still did it after. Graphics card kept triggering the BSOD even. Eventually got Windows 10 Reinstalled and it started back up with no Nvidia drivers installed. The Motherboard has no Onboard Graphics so everything goes through the Graphics card. My Mobo doesn't even have video ports. It has been doing this for a few weeks now, i thought i would wait and look into the issue, and then get an opinion with all my info of everything it tested before i declared the card lost for good, and unable to be a simple fix. My specs are Graphics Card : ZT‑70402‑10P Zotac Geforce Gtx 760 2GB Amp Edition MotherBoard : Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 RAM : 17GB CPU : AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core Processer 4.01 GHz EDIT: I included a video of what the screen does as well. video-1528413184.mp4
  11. I plugged in each hard Drive in one by one and i need both 1TB hard drives in to boot Windows 10. Once i figured that out every one i plugged in after i would load up the bios and make sure it was disabled.
  12. Rooted Galaxy S3 L710 on Boost Mobile, Wicked X rom installed. My hotpspot was originially the Unlimited Hotspot and Data bundle and worked for many many years (over 5 years) and then around February i noticed i got a 8GB hotspot data limit. The Problem is once the 8GB is all maxed out it throttles only 3 devices and lets them still access the internet but all other devices wont connect to the internet at all. They still connect to the actual phone hotspot just not the actual internet. before hand it would just throttle all devices. its been doing it since february and i noticed this past week for a few days it would work normal, go out then do this issue i am having. i looked everywhere online and i cant find anything about this and would like some help on what to do or how to fix it. I have 2 Galaxy S3 on boost a L710 variant and a Triband Variant, the L710T. and both still do it.
  13. Alright so i found that i need two Hard Drives plugged in at once for Windows 10 to start. my 1TB and my WD Hard Drive (Size needed). I downloaded and installed easyBCD and it only showed 1 entry in the program saying windows 10. The 2 Hard drives have to be plugged in to the white SATA slots on my motherboard. i restarted the PC and it loaded Windows 10 again, and rebooted to try again just to make sure. and it worked, windows 10 booted. My storage drives im going to plug into the brown SATA ports on my motherboard and see if it still loads up windows 10. after that if it still loads i am going to run easyBCD again and see if i get any Windows 7 or Bitdefender loaded up. It loaded windows 10 with all the drives plugged back in and once i was on the desktop i loaded easyBCD and it still only showed 1 boot option in it. Windows 10. I am so confused.
  14. I tried unplugging and only booting with one hard drive each. only 1 hard drive had the thing pop up about Windows 7 dual boot, another one said "The current BIOS setting do not fully support the boot device. Click OK to enter the BIOS setup. Go to Advanced > Boot > CSM Parameters, and adjust the CSM (Compatibility Support Module) settings to enable the boot device." I Click ok and go to the following as described and i see 5 options. Pics included it what i see on this screen. I also tried setting the boot device order on my PC and that did the same thing bringing up the Windows 7 dual boot screen (previous included pic in OP)
  15. Yes i did upgrade this from windows 7 when the Windows 10 free upgrade for the first year was still going on. I think we got Bitdefender back then too but have since then uninstalled it so im unsure why that is still there. this is the first time encountering this at least in a long time that i can remember. What do i do to get it to Reboot normally into Windows 10? How would i fix the Boot manager?
