Whatever you do, do not mix thermal paste of different models. Could possibly cause unwanted chemical reactions.

For RGB control you can use splitters on the RGB header but note the amperage of the LED's for each fan as you must not exceed your max output of the RGB header.

Take a look at the PSU Tier List. Anything T1 or T2 should be fine for you.
