  1. It's a prebuilt I scrapped the gpu from and used the gpu in my computer and using the rest in a new Corsair 4000 series case. I'm guessing it may have something to do with the power/reset pins. Hoping not. When I finished installing liquid cooling blocks and the liquid I was running the pumps with a jumped cable and it was getting power just fine but now that I removed the jumper from the 24 pin and plugged right into the motherboard it started doing this. Any extra steps I should've done if it's a re-shelled computer?
  2. All brand new. It's a prebuilt I scrapped the gpu from and used the gpu in my computer and using the rest in a new Corsair 4000 series case. 3. Computer lights up like a Xmas tree then immediately that’s it’s, everything just stops. For background this is a reshell into a Corsair case. Motherboard is a strix b560-g gaming wifi. Now I don’t think that it’s the PSU because after filling in all the coolant/liquid I took off the jumper (I had the 24 pin jumper no issues getting power while filling the reservoir) and plugged it back into the mobo. Thoughts? Suggestions? IMG_1713.mov
  4. Update. Three different cables later and it’s still having the same issue. Unsure of what to do at this point. I did notice when it does happen there is an error report in event viewer. I’ll have to find it to post to see if it makes sense to anyone. Could be the underlying cause.
  5. Update. Issue persists. Not the cable I don’t think.
  6. Tried three different high quality hdmi cables. No luck. I have come across this error here and matched it in event viewer to the time the displays kicks off and back on: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/439273/error-event-id-10016-distributedcom Founda guide online and followed it to the letter to no avail. Error persists.
  7. Ordered several cables. Highwings is working so far. The fails were monoprice braided and certified and monster blue cobalt braided not certified. All 10ft/hdmi 2.1/48gbps, etc. No drops on the highwings, quality of all seems about the same but I like how they indicate the end of the cable with a simple stamp of 8K on it. Packaging is about as basic as it gets.
  8. AFAIK anything above cinnamon is just an absolute waste of money and even then it's way to expensive for what it is. If you're spending $3k on the cable you'd better have something like martin logan monolith speakers to justify it. Even then I just cannot see wasting that much money on a cable.
  9. So far I am testing out highwings hdmi 2.1 48gbps cable and no issues thus far gaming in UHD with everything totally maxed out. The fails were mono price hdmi certified braided and monster blue cobalt non certified and both of those failed and had drops. Pretty happy so far, another cable or two coming in the mail so I will check out quality and report back. Highwings works but packaging doesn't feel ver premium but cable is the quality of monoprice as far as how it feels and bends but at least it seems to be working.
  10. Yeah that's what I've tested it and came to the conclusion of. Problem is I need ten feet. Looks like LTT did hdmi cable tests and at ten feet that's where there are issues. Any you could recommend? Thanks!
  11. Really just need 10’. Would you consider that too long?
  12. Well this is interesting. Mine display it but drops signal. So like…idk what to think it’s going on 4am for me lol but I’ve beaten my head against on a wall on this one. Glad I’m not the only one I guess.
  13. Using LG CX, getting constant intermittent signal drop. It’ll flicker like go black then come back in and flash instant game response. Want to do rgb 4:4:4 with 4k@120hz without issues. Already tried monster cobalt blue and monoprice ultra hdmi certified, both 2.1 hdmi cables rated 48gbps. Suggestions? Need something you’ve already used in the same setup no issues (obviously not identical tv, just similar).
  14. Okay so I tried two different cables. Monoprice HDMI certified and Monster blue, both rated the same. Same results. At this point what cable will do rgb 4:4:4 at 4K@120hz? I turned off instant game response entirely and problem persists. I’m assuming cable, but I also toned it down to 1440p same result (but went from around 50-90fps in the game I’m playing currently).
  15. Tried different cable and didn't work, same thing, so updating tv firmware. I skipped the last a bit ago due to issues they had with it. We'll see if this works.
  16. It's the certifiation by HDMI, and yeah I'm using monoprice hdmi certified cables, ultra certified. I've tried changing cables...but I'm at my wits' end. Seriously. Okay, I am going to change the cables one more time out of the chance that I ended up with a bad cable twice. I guess ya never know. It's definitely a failing signal, I narrowed it down to that by testing use with instant game response turned off. So, that is the only thing that makes sense is a failing signal/bad cable.
  17. This has been driving me bonkers for the longest time. I'm in Windows with HDR turned on. RTX 3080. It keeps popping "HDR - instant game response" over and over and over and over again and won't stop and it'll do it quite randomly. How do I get this to quit? Yes it's in PC mode, yes I'm using an hdmi 2.1, yes everything is configured correctly in nvidia control panel for gsync on pc resolution & gsync enabled - any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated, thank you! To note it does this in the OS as well as when gaming./watching movies, anything and anytime just hits randomly and drops the signal then immediately reconnects the display. I don't get it.
  18. Just wanted to come back with an update. I exhausted myself checking everything out and around and found out that while nVIDIA control panel was set to 3840x2160 @ 120hz when I checked in WINDOWS it was set to 119.880hz so I thought to myself...hmmm...that's odd. I changed it to 120hz and have not had this issue since. For now I am going to say that this is SOLVED, any different I will try to remember to come back to update in case anyone else ever has this issue as well.
  19. Tried a different cable. Same result. Yep it's hdmi certified. No issue with tv on any other inputs/devices, just when used together with my PC.
  20. I think you missed where the issue is. I'll be playing a game in HDR then suddenly the tv will pop with instant game response/HDR multiple times. That's the issue. It will sometimes even crash games. Same with youtube. I'll be watching a video, then multiple times I have to wait for the tv to blank out and come back with HDR notification/instant game response. It's not a matter of wanting HDR or not wanting HDR, it's a matter of it working properly.
  21. It's up to date but I want to be able to swap back and forth between monitor and tv. I did try swapping HDMI cables, no joy. Same issue persists. Did it three times just getting to and replying to this forum!!! However if I were to kick in a game, after it kicks out and in again initially, it stays fine until I am out of the game and back into Windows and it randomly acts up again. I don't get it.
  22. With little to go on, my only guess would be that you have a bad motherboard.
  23. Have you attempted to try to access the drive on another computer and how old is the drive?
  24. Definitely going to need more information here...
