I'm in the market for a sort of mid-road gaming laptop. I'm not looking for anything that'll handle multiplayer or raids, no first-person shooters, and no new games or VR. I'm looking for something that'll play WoW, Diablo 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition (and similarly aged games) at a fairly high setting, single-player.
My last laptop was a 17 inch monster, and I started regretting buying that beast about a month after I got it. So, this time, I'd like something in the 15 inch range. I'm not too terribly picky about the design of the case except that if the keyboard is backlit, I'd like to be able to adjust the colors. Most seem to be red, and that's murder on my eyeballs.
Otherwise, priorities are good or better cooling, plenty of memory, and a healthy amount of ports. I've been looking at the HP Omen (but, I'm honestly just not a HP fan), the Origin Eon 15-S, the Lenovo Legion Y520, and some MSI builds.
Budget is looking in the neighborhood of 1000, a little higher, a little lower. I'm in the US.
