  1. Actually my main SSD, i almost entirely filled it up (also didnt have a dram cache), and it's been kinda messed up since, large writes slow down the entire system and even cause freezes sometimes, so i just wanna take some precautions haha.
  2. Any way I can set a hard limit of 75-80% so I don't go over it? Like maybe im stupid and accidentally install a game too large/ i don't really trust myself.
  3. I think you were right the first time https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/silicon-power-p34a60-m2-nvme-ssd Yeah I don't think it has dram, has "Host Memory Buffer (HMB), and SLC Cache to deliver high and efficient performance"
  4. no longer addicted to csgo

Its fun in a 5 man queue once a month, at most. I don't really like games much anymore though

  5. Just bought as a secondary drive: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZGJYLNL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Some questions: Steam shows my drive as having 511.98 GB vs File explorer shows 478 GB? Do i have to take precautions and not fill the drive over 75% to keep it in good health? Or has this precaution already been taken in factory? Anything else that i need to do aside from initializing the drive before I can start using it? Thx in advance!
  6. I used the same voltage This is the guide I used (timestamped):
  7. Oo okay. The reason I took those is because both said that most Ryzen 3 1200s can do 3800, and then you can try to go up to 4000. But I guess i must've gotten unlucky?
  8. So I tried to overclock to 3800 from 3100 (base clock) and increased the voltage to to 1.29. I am on the stock cooler. This was recommended by 2 youtube tutorials I searched for. First boot: screen blacked out after about 2 mins, was running the aida64 to test for system stability. Screen didnt come back, so powered down with power button. Second boot: aida64 told me that the highest temp it recorded from first boot was 67C. Ran test again, it detected a Hardware failure and stopped the test. I shut down the PC and set clock speed back to auto. Should I try again? If so, what speed and what voltage? Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong. Thanks in advance. Specs: Ryzen 3 1200 XFX RX570 4gig 8gigs of ddr4 on the XMP profile at 2666 450 watt PSU
  9. I'm halfway through the download and my PCs doing okay. This was interesting.... If something happens as this download keeps going, I'll update you further! Thanks for all your help!
  10. Imma be honest I only understood about half of what you said, im not the most tech savvy guy. But yeah, I guess you pay for what you get huh?
  11. So 30% of 512GB is 153.6GB. Uninstalled a bunch of games. Have 223GB open now. Downloading For Honor, around 65 Gigabytes so it would leave me with around 158, which is above the threshold. Ill post the results in a bit, so far so good. I also swapped the port again for the SATA cable.
  12. Yo i just got a response from Patriot Tech support. I guess id be going over 70% right? I dont know
  13. Cable? Yes. Port? I can't recall but i believe so? PC freezing while downloading r6 aswell
  14. And btw ive had gta running successfully on my pc several times now
