  1. Here’s my problem: I am going on a cruse and want to have internet for the people traveling with me. The problem is that the way the WiFi is priced is that when you purchase a pass you can only use it on ONE device at a time. If you want to use 2 devices at a time, you need to buy a second ridiculously priced pass. So my idea is that I will buy a single high speed pass and connect it to something like a router (I really don’t know what I should look for) and then we will have a WiFi network that we can all use. My problem is that I don’t know what sort of device I should buy and how I should set it up. What I do know is the following: It will probably have one of those web page sign in’s where you enter your room number and other information No, I can’t use my cell phone hotspot There are no Ethernet ports in the room. So the network in will need to be via WiFi Sorry if this is formatted poorly and thanks for your help.
  2. It’s just in my cheep used Optiplex. I was upgrading the CPU when I noticed this and the weird thermal paste spread on the old one.
  3. As you can see in the photo, there are some gaps between the copper and aluminum. Should I fill the gaps with thermal paste? Or is there a better way? Or does it simply not matter. I am not buying a new one as this heatsink is from an OEM computer. Thanks

    How’s the color quality?
  5. It’s the crappy one from comcast. (Would buy one but for gigabit speed, you have to use theirs.) Also, why wouldn’t you buy the X6?
  6. It has wireless AD, and is 3 years newer. I’m not sure if it is worth 100 dollars more so that’s why I’m asking.
  7. I am currently looking for a new WiFi router to replace the crappy Comcast one. Currently, I’m looking at the Netgear Nighthawk X10 or the Nighthawk X6. I am trying to decide if I should spend 100 dollars more for the X10 which has 802.11AD and is about 2 years newer. What do you guys think? 8. After some research, I decided on a Zoltac GTX 1050 2GB. It works and fits in my computer.
  9. I just got a used Dell Optiplex 7010 for a really good price. It has a Core I5, 8 Gb of ram and an AMD Radeon HD 7030. I am looking to replace the GPU with something different. The problem is that it is a Small Form Factor PC and I am having a hard time finding a GPU that will fit. Any recommendations?
  10. I am looking at 2 SSD’s for my computer. The 1TB Samsung 860 Evo or the 1TB Crucial MX500. Speeds look pretty similar but the thing I’m concerned about is reliability because I only have space for one drive and this will hold ALL of my files. Should I get the Samsung for about 50 dollars more or the Crucial?
