  1. Thanks for that. I had been looking for something like that that would work and couldn't find one. Guess I was looking in the wrong places or didn't notice it at first.
  2. Thought of that but couldn't find any acrylic or aluminum ones that seemed to fit my needs.
  3. Alrighty, so I don't know if anyone else has done this yet or bothered to make a post about it but here is my take on a drain loop in an aluminum water cooling system. So what I've done is I have found a mixture of acrylic parts that I think will be compatible with all of the EK Fluid Gaming fittings and will allow me to create a drain loop. This included finding an acrylic splitter, an acrylic female to female extension, and acrylic G1/4 plugs. The parts are all pretty self explanatory, but any questions you have I should be able to answer. To visualize the solution I made a quick sketch in my notebook that I've attached below. The link to all the parts as well as my next phase in my computer build is here.
  4. I haven't had it for way too long, but the problems didn't exist for the first 2+ years of use. I think I've had it under 5 years.
  5. I had it running fine for a number of years, but if my cpu could be messing up the mobo I am open to solutions.
  6. No matter what port I use my audio always bugs, but I'll try the fresh install and deep MemTest tomorrow when I have time. I haven't checked in a few weeks, but I haven't been noticing extraordinarily high temps lately, though it does help sometimes with the frequency of the problems if its cooler, but all of the problems happen even at idle temps. For example, my audio was popping and turning off the entire time I wrote that.
  7. I have been lucky with schooling and had always have concepts come very easily to me, so what I do may not work for you. With that said I always try to get the work done on a schedule before its due but also not so early that I forget the material. For example if I'm taking notes over a section of one of my AP books I do it starting the day it was assigned until a bit before its due. That way the information stays fresh in my mind and I don't have to stress as much about studying later. I of course will study and revisit concepts before an actual test, but I also do that during the whole time I take notes. That way I have time to process a hard subject. I save what I think is going to be important and what the teacher has said will be important and reinforce that the most before a big grade. Now I really only do this with my exceptionally hard classes, so not math and science, as those come naturally to me. But if I think something is going to be hard in any class I try my best to make time for it. I will say that I don't always do that though and I need to work on it. I find that doing it this way helps lower my overall stress and boost my confidence which is what test taking is really about. If your confident you know it, then you're more likely to remember it. Also, in project oriented classes, get it done up front so you can have a month of free-time later like I did in my compsci class. Also just participate in class(some teachers give extra points), and talk to other students or even the teacher after class if you don't get a subject. Quick edit - When things are especially busy, I find study groups help me not only with studying but to actually remember to study. For me its during finals or during marching band season(I know I'm a nerd) when I have from 3 hours of marching to not getting home from a game/ competition until 2 AM(seriously). Trust me if it weren't for the fact I am friends with other band kids, I would have no time for any sort of social life.
  8. I believe I did early on, but I'm willing to try anything again.
  9. Heyo, like all of you I love guns. I have grown up around them and will fully exercise my second amendment right as a US citizen. I believe in the protection of my-self and my fellow citizens from both internal and external threats. That being said, when I turn 21 I am going to get my concealed carry license and purchase a handgun. So I, always the planner, made a list of what mods I would want done to my gun and what gun I would intend to use (linked here). I would love to now your experiences with any of the companies or parts, and any suggestions as to what I could add or practice to ensure my competence and safety as well as those around me.
  10. These problems have been going on for an extended period of time, months or maybe even a year, and I have tried everything I can think of. My audio keeps cutting out for extended periods of time and then it is just a series of pops for most of the rest, very rarely do I have any use of my audio no matter the output, I also have my games freeze, stutter, lag, and crash repeatedly and frequently, my monitors will freeze and stutter, sometimes shut off and refuse to turn on, and I get dead locked annoyingly often, and I can't update windows. These are all the problems I could think of off the top of my head but I'm sure I missed some. I honestly don't know how I get anything done. I have tried everything my friends or I could think of and have run diagnostics and updated drivers, reset CMOS, ran anti-malware, re-seated cpu and gpu and most of my connections, I have thoroughly cleaned my pc and replaced old thermal paste, I've done everything I could think of. So I now believe it is hardware related and that something, I'm thinking mobo, has failed. Before going out and buying replacements and upgrades, I'm tight for money to spend on a PC among my other current projects, I thought I'd seek some help here and see what y'all think. My build - ??? - ??? ??-???????? - ???????? ??-????-????????? - ???????? ?????? ???? ????? ??????? - ??? ?????? ?? ??? ??? ????? ??????? ?????? ?????????????? - ??????? ?? ???? ??+ ????
  11. Lumix fz300 is pretty good for video and pictures but you might not be able to get it in.
  12. @MikeSK I am going to run an all aluminum loop and am not going to mix metals so I don't need a fluid specific to mixed metals loops.
  13. I've tried looking for a plastic ball valve for the past few days but I am not sure if any of them would work and stay sealed. Beyond that the only way I can make the drain is if a find a G1/4 male to male fitting that can work with aluminum.
  14. I'm trying to find a solution for a drain port on an aluminum loop, but I've been seemingly out of luck. I found an acrylic splitter that I can put some of EK's fittings into but I've been hard pressed to find a G1/4 male to male adapter to plug it into my pump, and then I also need to find some sort of ball valve of plug so I can seal off the port with a tube connected. Thanks.
  15. Don't think there is too much of a difference in performance between the two, maybe one or two degrees. With the x62 being a larger radiator you could run the fans slower for an even quieter system, but if you don't mind too much the x52 is a fine choice.
