Hey, this is going to be lengthy apologies.
It started as a graphical glitch on Solidworks (CAD software) where I would rotate the model and the whole screen would get small yellow vertical lines all over it. I thought nothing of it.
I downloaded malwarebytes and ran it. During this my sister played on Sims 2 where after 30 minutes the screen went BROWN so I had be hard reset the computer. I ran malwarebytes again and played sims again, within five minutes the screen went green and I had to hard reset. This time windows 10 wouldn't boot once it got past the windows logo, the screen would go black and I would have no control. The cpu fan would also sound like it was at 50% and there was no drive usage.
I tried to restore, repair and refresh windows to no luck, same issue. Took it to a pc shop and they tried to get it to boot with no luck either. So we discussed and thought that malwarebytes probably found something within a windows file, removed it and messed up the software. So I would reinstall windows with a fresh install.
I have done this, went through the whole installation and during the 'Hi, welcome to you new PC' the screen would go black again.
Looking at other causes, I don't think its the main hard drive as windows surely wouldn't of install if that was completely broken no? I disconnected my secondary hard drive, same issues. CPU temperatures are fine, GPU fans are staying at idle so I'm assuming GPU temperatures are fine as the fans would automatically increase in speed.
Has anyone got an ideas and I can usually fix this pc, and I gain so much knowledge from it breaking and me being able to fix it myself! I don't wanna take it to a store to get fixed!
Note: Over the last six months it has been used as a pure rendering machine and hasn't been switched off. It was been running at over 100% for several months and it is a 2010 pc with upgraded parts.
Specs if needed:
i5 650 - still with factory thermal paste applied
Intel H57 (if i remeber correctly) motherboard - from factory
14GB RAM - upgraded from factory
500GB main hard drive - from factory
2TB hard drive - upgraded
R9 270X - upgraded
