WPS office, if you are willing to pay, deal with annoying startup ads, or fight your way through ccircumventing them. Closest to MS I've seen, arguably better in many ways (like its night mode that prevents eye burn without just inverting color schemes).

Softmaker Office also has a decent free version, without invasive ads. More similar to Libreoffice, but in my experience worked better in Windows (I've had no problem in Linux, but my attempts at OpenOffice first and Libreoffice later all ran like shit on Windows-java).

I've tried a different one that was OK as well, but can't remember its name I'm always on the look for office software, especially spreadsheets. I think I could be on the paid version of WPS, but when I last checked pricing was quite steep even compared to MS (it may even have been subscription-based, which it's just not going to happen for me).

DDebbil got a reaction from AMp3dStar in Freesync does it increase fps?
It will probably put more stress on your GPU (assuming your setup is generally hitting your current Vsync limit). So if your card is capable of 90FPS average but you have Vsync locked @ 60FPS on, your card will only be running 2/3 load. If you buy a Freesync monitor which can run up to (let's say) 90FPS, you will be running at much higher loads on your GPU - but you will see higher FPS above 60 as a result.

It all depends what FPS your setup can do and what refresh rate the monitor you buy can do.

DDebbil got a reaction from kirashi in Anyone know of a laptop with decent speakers?
I'm still rocking an ASUS N56 from 1923 (my third or fourth one) because it has good speakers. Unfortunately, in its successors, ASUS shuffled themselves back into the herd and made the speakers crapper. I can't work out why people don't care about laptop speakers (is that actually true?) - most reviews don't even bother to mention them. Don't people consume media on their laptops any more?
