Dmon got a reaction from 2chriswy in Should I buy a Blue Yeti Pro right away?
As someone who owns a Blue Yeti - Don't waste your money.
Its not terrible, but you'd be better off getting a less gimmicky mic that gives up the ability to switch between Cardoid, Omnidirectional, stereo, etc. With a mic like the AT2020/2035 which is designed for the soul purpose of one type of recording in mind.
Just my 2 cents on the Blue Yeti.

Dmon got a reaction from Joshua Ondangan in "Do as we say, not as we do." - do you want to be untrustworthy?
They sometimes do extreme, unpractical things such as watercooling an entire room of pc's and throwing power supplys out of cars.
I believe the slogan is more intended as a "Take our advice, rather then copy everything we do in our videos".

Dmon got a reaction from AmbellinaThePrise in Choosing between two 144Hz monitors(To Gsync, or not to Gsync)
Yeah, my setup with two gtx 970's can handle most games @1440p 100+ fps so I don't see much benefit of the G-Sync.
That being said, the new Assassins Creed and Dragon age games cause me to get anywhere between 40-60 fps (woo optimizations). Being the sweet spot for G-Sync. it makes a pretty big difference in the perceived smoothness of the gameplay. If you're likely to get similar frame rates in the titles you play. it'll be a handy feature to have now, and in the future as more games come out with higher system requirements.

I have a rog Swift myself. at 144hz the "Stuttering" fix g-sync does isn't all that noticeable. its sweet spot seems to be 40-60 hz. Although if you notice screen tearing alot and it bothers you. G-Sync does fix that.

Dmon got a reaction from alby800 in Project Swift-Force
Update 2:
The case arrived on Monday with all the other fans/accessories and I've finally got this setup. Here is some amateur photo's of me getting the thing built, and trying to learn how to camera at the same time.
[spoiler=]
I'm not great with the camera and I got a little slack with the amount of photos I took near the end. But I plan to take more once I get my new desk. That way I'll clean up the mess of wires that is currently sitting behind my pc/monitors.
I also want to change the blue LEDs in the "Windforce" Logo of the GPU's to red LEDs. That may take me a little while to get around to that.

Project Swift-Force
(I'm bad at names)
My current PC is coming up on 5 years of age, its struggling to put out 60 fps consistently in today's current games. I think its time for a bit of an upgrade.
The goal with this new build is to achieve 144 fps @1440p on most games without having to lower the graphical quality too much.
So lets get onto the components.
