@GabenJr time for part 3

some positive things first

vs is way better than you've had the last couple years, though still a group reg. CX is a good psu, even if i find 70 bucks too much for it. RM i can agree on, though it starts to make a high-pitched tone for a bit when switching powerstates (aroud 90w), hx is a solid choice.

I really liked the way you did the animations with the motherboard tier list, and i'm happy to see it back in a video again

i would appreciate it though if you'd link the threads in the description

now, time for what you've been waiting for

corsair vs orange was a CWT, the new vs is made by hec, best known to be owned by the same company as cougar. the 400 dollar ssd was a worthless idea in my opinion, and would've been way better off with a cached 1tb ssd, a 2080 super and maybe a 3tb hdd to add more mass storage to it. the cheaper build could've fit in a 500gb ssd over an overpriced cached hdd, especially since for example baracuda compute goes for much less. the master wasn't needed, as something like that elite would've perfectly done it's job. TXM is generally that closely priced to cx that you might as well, since one of the versions of the CX (it's dualsourced between CWT and GreatWall) is based off the same platform, but has some changes to make it a touch cheaper, even if less efficient

don't take this as criticism, i'm just happy to help

    of other minor notes.

9100f was a bit odd considering it is very closly priced to the 1600/2600 in price. yes those are 1-2 gens old hardware, but they are plenty cheap

something like this could be made. with perhaps a cheaper case to have more margins

Ya know, people wouldn't find you hilarious if you sent this information privately

But then, ya know, where will you get the public attention?

  3. GoldenLag

    GoldenLag

you know. open letters are a thing. and for this sort of thing. the more people who knows, the better.

and it's easier to hold open for discussion or addition to, like @GoldenLag did with the 9100f

The difference might be small, but I feel an open letter should be more open.

We have a subforum specifically for general discussion, a measured open letter with valid critiques and criticism should be fine there.  This is "Hey @staff I don't like a thing you did, now my friends and I are going to hang out in this corner of the forum and dunk on you"

  6. GoldenLag

    GoldenLag

We would do that in the dedicated thread that will open, but sadly that one hasnt opened at the time of posting. And this method i believe has been mote effective

You could copy/paste all of these status update "open letters" into a normal thread, and if they held up as open letters in the public eye there'll be no problem with that, right?

  8. GoldenLag

    GoldenLag

Well its fairly public in status updates.

And the concerns will be brought up in the normal thread aswell. When that comes avavible.

But since there was a factual error in the video. That should probably be adressed as quickly as possible.

And as in a trend of 2 previous letters it would only be fair to continue this tradition

The CX does seem to be pretty extremely high price these days... It certainly made sense at $40-50.

Once they are back in US stock, the BitFenix Gold costs as much or sometimes less than the TXM, so I usually go that route.

But you are much better off investing like $10-15 more for a solid Gold unit at the current CX prices.
