Glad im not the only one annoyed that this happens every single content cycle. It will inevitably happen again with Navi in a few months as well.

Its very difficult to say because AMD went 8 core, true or not from the FX series, to 8 core on Zen. Will be interesting to see, but I think the 16 core could be legit based on the Die shot from CES showing the space available for a 2nd CCX stack below the current one to the right of the SOC chip.

Maybe not, but it might be in there best interest to do so since in the near future, they will only have a CPU business as it seems intel is intent on destroying AMD and clawing away at Nvidia. I think Raja got tired of not having the R&D budget to really push like he does now over at Intel.
