LTT Backpack not being double layered on the bottom?
Aluminumhaste replied to FFLORO's topic in LTTStore.com Merch
Yeah they can't leave that up once they've learned that it's not actually there. Glad they took it down right away. -
I really wanted one of these but I couldn't go and didn't realize I could get it with floatplane sub. But I bought the mystery deskpad during the sale event and got it! Thank you LMG!

And it's back.

It's shopify: https://downdetector.ca/status/shopify/

lttstore.com and many other websites show the same error. Also a bunch of other websites that use shopify are also down. EDIT: Other sites also down,. http://ca.kyodan.clothing/ https://ca.womensbest.com/

At first I was disappointed, but after a lot more was discussed about the timeline of events etc, I actually feel bad for LMG. The whole, "keep it we don't need it back, oh wait we changed our minds, send it back." Then after watching GN's video, seeing that smirk on his face, it was clear this was personal and not unbiased journalism. After that video I had to unsub from GN. After all the back and forth, the evidence etc, it all points to employee's at LMG being very very busy (especially the lead up to WAN show), and things not getting taken care of in a timely manner. Yet tons of people on the internet, including on these forums, claiming Linus personally selling another companies proprietary prototype. Also, the amount of articles that I've seen in my feed with headlines like "Ex employee alleges sexual assault" with a picture of Linus on the cover......I have no words for bullshit like that. Literally every articles thumbnail had a picture of Linus on it. So at this point I've swung back around, I've yet to see anything from Linus to make me question his review or unboxing of a laptop. The things he says are factual or his personal preference, and he states them as such.

Yeah that's weird, could be a signaling issue with the cable or the ports.

EVGA 1300 G2 80 gold plus - Lights flicker in the house
Aluminumhaste replied to Aluminumhaste's topic in Troubleshooting
It ran perfectly in my computers for 8+ years. Why would I buy a PSU tester when I can just buy a new PSU? -
Just remember that every time you update the drivers, you'll have to disable ULPS every time
-
I solved a ton of weird issues like that with my AMD GPUs by disabling ULPS (Ultra Low Power Saving/State). Just search the registry for EnableULPS and change it from "1" to "0" and reboot. I no longer get crash to desktops, driver timeouts, random reboots, blue screens etc. The 7900XTX and 6800XT have been rock solid since doing that.

I have been noticing for the last year or so that my living room lights will flicker whenever I have my desktop computer turned on. It's running a 6800XT, 5800X Ryzen and a few SSD's. So not a huge load. It's powered by an EVGA 1300G2 80 plus gold power supply that I got for free from a coworker. He used a bunch of them for mining years ago. This power supply has been in this tower for almost 8 years now. Today, I loaded up Control and started playing. Ran well, but I noticed the flickering lights were getting worse. Then, I turned the camera to a certain part of the room and the FPS dropped from like 80 fps to 2 fps, and each time it froze then started again, the lamp light in the corner dimmed almost 80%. Did this a few times, then I panicked and exited the game and shut down the computer. I brought my other gaming computer upstairs and plugged it in with the same power cable. It's running a 7900XTX, 12700K and 6 Drives. Powered by an 850 Watt platinum power supply. I loaded up the same game, no issues and no flickering lights at all. I think there's something wrong with the EVGA power supply. I was wondering if LMG would like to test the power supply in their fancy new tester?

And called all of it trash basically saying don't buy anything from these websites. EDIT: Thereby letting his community who might not know, to stay away from these sites.

That Billet Labs themselves told him it "should" work with. Please stop leaving that part out. They reached out to BL's about that. Had BL said "No, it only works on a 3090", then they probably would have tried harder to use it on a 3090. And as much as that video was a lot of cringe and I was disappointed in it, I have to agree with Linus on that one; who would spend 800$ on a water block to use on previous gen hardware? Even if it performed at the level it was claimed to be at, it still wouldn't have changed their conclusion. Don't buy it.

Just wanted to talk about the today's sponsor, Solid Works. At my work I had a conversation with a customer who was being shaken down by Solid Works's (Dassault Systèmes) Legal dept, claiming they were using too many computers without the valid licenses. They provided MAC addresses of the NIC's and the IP addresses of the offending connections. Neither of these showed up in the customers logs. The customer was provided the connection information for the last year and a half to prove they're never had that IP address. The response they got was basically "doesn't matter, we've already determined that you owe this 100,000$, and need to tell us how you're going to pay in the next 10 days, or we're going to litigate". I was pointed to a thread on Reddit ( I sent this over to our customer, they pushed back like the others did in that Reddit thread, and Solid Works backed off and haven't contacted them since.

Ok I get that, that's understandable, reasonable even. However, there's a difference between regularly updating data and updating your data every time. That's the difference here. This is what sets the Labs test data apart from other reviewers, at least you should be guaranteed that when you look at the graphs that each result was achieved using latest drivers even if there was no difference. Also, AMD usually puts out 1 driver per month with some hotfix ones in between. So there's been 2-3 driver updates between these tests.
