Comptia certs are a joke really a+ it should be called screwdriver 101. and the prices, I am a certified electronic engineering technician, with certs in plc programming and mil grade soldering with no a+ also been sysadmin and been dabling in pc programming and linux for more than 30 years. now. with no a+ cert or willing to spend those bills should I be denied a job where I am not qualified to turn an fing screw. please don't let common sense slap ya silly, btw I my it prof gave me 100% since I fixed his network, rebuilt all his pc's for free, so much the local school tech union showed up at the door was wondering why they had no work sent to them for the past 6 months and filed a complaint because I wasn't certified  that tell you what i think of certs?

Just like one of our IT guys... Took the tests online to get his "ASE Master mechanic" certificate that anyone can go get. Practically an open book test and now he tries to tell us mechanics how to fix mining equipment that has nothing to do with automotive. Most certs don't mean anything once you get into a field. For the most part they get you into the field to get experience. A cert tells you that you have to use a 5/8 socket to remove a bolt. Experience tells you that 16mm works just as well if it's a 6 point. 12 point usually wants to try to slip off.

first pc vic-20 and that had a few hardware mods,

first build a used 80486dx who had one serial port (one was blown so I had a choice I could run my mouse at the time or my modem but not both) I was given it because the mouse port was dead (well it wasn't the mouse port per say it was one of 2 serial headers on the MB, so I simply opened the the case swapped the header to swap between mouse and modem.

if I was corporate IT right now I'd be banking vacation and figuring out the license date switch over and make sure I booked vacation to a remote island with limited cell phones.

as for me if I was developing java and trying to support as many customers as in older versions multiple platform this is going to become a nightmare so far what am gleaning from the reddit thread on this the cost model could get interesting on support.

I added the bold on reddit right now in sysadmin there is a very interesting thread building on this https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/8emu1l/oracle_quietly_announces_java_required_licensing/?ref=share&ref_source=link

Inferior to other languages anyways. It is just popular because it is popular at this moment and it gets taught in schools/ universities for that reason so unfortunately it is a doomed circle but maybe this can help and break it.

he disapeared into the void, never to be seen again exept for when he manages to materialize from the air as Linus sacrefises one GTX 1080TI to the Floatplane gods so he can be on the WAN Show

you can also check your webrtc leakage and such there are a few good sites if you google. there can always be issues on your system that can affect a vpn if your not sure run a test. to make sure. also setup binding with your client if it supports it so if your vpn drops your traffic drops to zero. if you want to you can kill app to from within your vpn client.

I myself switched from PIA to nord a few years ago and never been happier.
