  1. Sorry, but what is the gain and how do I turn it down?
  2. Alright, so I have these two KRK Rokit 5 Speakers set up for my computer, but when I connect them to my computer they start to buzz. However if I connect them to my phone to play music they're fine. I also connected some headphones to my computer to see if that was the problem and there was no buzzing at all. Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this? Any help would be much appreciated.
  3. Hello everyone, I bought a bunch of hardware about a year ago and never built it because I've been busy. I was going to have it built for me soon, but I am now in a financial situation and need to sell off the parts. I was just looking for an opinion on how much I should resell them for. Case - Case Labs SMH 10 Black Motherboard - Asus RIVE Extreme Cpu - Intel 3930 RAM - 32 GB Corsair Domination Video Card - 2 Nvidia 4gb 670 Soundcard - Xonar Essence ST SSD - 2 240GB Corsair Neutron GTX, 2 480GB Corsair Neutron GTX DVD/CD - USB powered Cooling Fans - 12 Gentle Typhoon (1450 rpm) Radiator - 480 XSPC Radiator Coolant - Mayhems Red Pastel Pump - standard D5 with EK black face plate for 1/4 thread. Tubing - Primochill Advanced Clear Tubing (full box) Blocks - Cpu, Video Cards (all black) Fittings - Compression, quick disconnect Reservoir - EK 400 x3 Monitor - Asus PB278q
  4. Alright, so I'm fairly new to water cooling my computer and was just wondering how to clean my gear and specifically which parts do I have to clean when they are new? I know you should flush a new rad, but what about the blocks, rad, and tubing? Also how do you clean oxidation off of copper? Any other tips on cleaning and maintenance of a water cooling loop is appreciated.
  5. I've decided just to start on the custom loop instead of spend another hundred bucks just to test the system. I ordered some plasticizer free tygon tubing, but it doesn't seem to be very clear. Actually it seems pretty cloudy to be honest, should I buy other tubing or just stick with this and see how the liquid looks like in it? I believe that the tubing I got was Tygon 2075, but the one that is on Mayhems Coolant site (the company I bought coolant from) is Tygon E-1000. Anyone have any experience with that tubing?
  6. Also, do you need to clean your water cooling equipment before you install for the first time or no? I've heard that you need to clean the rad, but what about the other parts?
  7. Alright, I tried to fix the molex pins but the connectors that catch to plastic housing fell off (and one might still be in my case, though I can't find it). Should I just buy a new h80 to make sure my system is running right or should I build my custom water loop and hope nothing is faulty?
  8. I started to freak out after watching the video because I thought that I might have broken off the pins on the molex connectors, so I went to double check and they're there. I still don't know how to reconnect them to the plastic housing though cause in the video that you linked me to Linus only showed how to remove them.
  9. Alright, I ordered a pinning tool. The one that you were referring to is the male/female molex tool and not the pliers right? Anyway, the molex tool should arrive in a few days.
  10. I haven't seen any four pin connectors with the 1200i, I've seen two 8 pin though. I also don't see an additional port for memory, I may just be overlooking it though. I'm not trying to go for huge overclocking, about 4.4-4.6 ghz. Thats all. (oh and thanks windspeed36, you're the only person consistently answering these questions, appreciated.)
  11. Alright, so I'm a noob/ done building for today and severly disappointed. I put in the h80 from corsair to do my first boot (build custom loop after I'm sure everything is working) and I test it by itself and it works. I put it on the case and pluged the molex in and the molex pins for the h80 disconnected from the plastic housing. What do I do now? Is there a way to fix the pins? Or do I just count my losses and start building my custom loop and hope nothing fails requiring me to take it apart?
  12. No, the mother board has a 8 pin and a 4 pin. And yes, the psu doesnt have any cables or connections that I see that offer a 4 pin.
  13. Alright, so I'm in the process of doing my first boot on the rig and I've run into a problem. There is an 8 pin cpu power connector and a four pin on the motherboard. My power supply didn't come with a four pin connector, only an eight pin. What effect will this have on my motherboard? I know you only have to plug the 8 pin in, but will I still be able to overclock? Please help as soon as possible.
  14. Do you know where to find a long SATA 6gb cable? If worse comes to worse I'll just run the cable through the front, it won't look too bad since I'll be able to run them behind the reservoir and my case is black, but I would rather run the cables behind the case.
