  1. I think I'll stick to .mp3 for now. My father has an old Pioneer car stereo and I don't know if it can play .flac or Opus, maybe in the future I'll give it a try- Thank you for the info ?
  2. I ended up just using the first one I tried, dBpoweramp, it worked pretty well. It has a lot of customization options. It's a free trial though. Thank you.
  3. Thanks, I'll give it a try. Any details you think I should know?
  4. Is there a way to convert audio file formats, for example from .flac to .mp3, without having to visit any suspicious website? I don't know, maybe some sort of open source freeware or anything similar. Thanks in advance.
  5. Oof, I didn't read your comment. I borrowed a monitor from a friend and it worked, so it was 100% what you thought. It wasn't expensive, but it kind of sucks having to get a new one. Sorry for the late response.
  6. I'm going to try a different screen, I should've done that first maybe
  7. The blue LED light in the power button of the monitor blinks like when it's in sleep mode but slower, it does a long blink sort of. Also the graphics card's fans turn off a few seconds after turning the PC on but I think that's a default setting, I don't know.
  8. Nope, they do nothing.
  9. By the way, I also tried removing the SSD so it would go to the BIOS but the screen remained black.
  10. A few days ago my monitor started having problems when turning the PC on. Most of the times it would stay black for minutes and then it would show the sign in screen. Now it doesn't even do that, it just stays black. First I tried the usual stuff (restarting the PC, unplug-plug the monitor, unplug-plug the PC, inverted the display cable, etcetera) but nothing solved the problem. Then I removed the graphics card and booted the PC with the iGPU: no result. I installed the graphics card again: no result. I removed the graphics card and cleared the CMOS: no result either. I think I should mention that when the screen is black Windows doesn't make any sound, I unplugged and plugged peripherals but it didn't make any sound. That makes me think that it could be something else.
  11. By the way the monitor's menu and brightness buttons don't work either, so that might be a clue...
  12. Sorry, when I was cleaning the USB key it didn't enter sleep mode, the screen just turned off as usual (I have that option enabled).
  13. Two or three days ago my computer started doing something weird. When I turned it on the screen stayed black for minutes while the monitor's power LED blinked as if it was in sleep mode, then it showed the desktop finally. I tried turning off the monitor, unplugging it, inverted the cable, removed the GPU, but it didn't solve the problem. Yesterday I was cleaning a USB key and I left to take a shower, when I came back it had entered sleep mode but it wouldn't turn on. Any ideas about why this could be happening?
  14. What cable should I get? Is Cat 5e alright? The computer isn't close to the modem, so I need to get 10 meters of cable at least and test it before rewiring through the walls.
