  1. You ARE being trolled but not by anyone here. Also, by your line of reasoning, why would intel cpus work with nvidia gpus, considering they too are different completely different companies? ?
  2. Wow dude, that sucks. Do you have a different display you can use to make sure it isn't something with the monitor?
  3. Any update on the situation? And R5 3600 is a better upgrade, especially for gaming.
  4. Hey, You are awesome for helping your parents. I run a repair shop and you would not believe how often people come and spend money with me for simple stuff like this because they do not have anyone willing to help them out. Anyways, I recommend backing up all the important data and doing a fresh install of windows 10. The PC should run much smoother as a result. Good luck!
  5. Thank you guys so much for the information. I think I'll just wait for the Red Dragon to re-stock then. Cheers!
  6. I personally wouldn't considering it will be used for just basic tasks, but I think you really want that 1440p crispiness ?. BTW, before you purchase one, are there any 1440p monitor you can use to test if everything will run smoothly. Don't want spend that kinda money for something you can't take full advantage of, right?
  7. Hey lads/ladies, I am wondering how the Thicc II holds up against the PC Red Dragon. I know the 'Thicc' series has a good track record but tech companies are tech companies (*ahem* MSI). Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Loving the forum, JF23
  8. Hey dude, sorry you're experiencing this mess. Your score is twice that of an average rx 580 so you should be experiencing much better game play with the new card. However, the score (should be 5k or higher) is also somewhat lower than the average 5700xt so I think you are being bottle-necked by your CPU running at 3200. Try overclocking the CPU and running the test again. Also, check to make sure your card's bus interface is pcie x16 4 on GPU-Z. While there, check the ASIC quality of your card found in the drop-down menu under the 'advanced' tab. Keep us posted on your findings and good luck.
