  1. Hi, Recently i have done some decent system upgrades (new motherboard, psu, cpu and ram). Now i'm using the MSI Z690 mag mortar motherboard which has realtek audio for out/input. For gaming i'm using these AKG headphones which used to come with the galaxy S8/S9, previously those worked great for calls and online voice chat ingame etc. However since upgrading my system with the new parts i can't seem to get the mic input to work properly, the input that's coming in is very very dim. When running the microphone build in test it gives back a value of around 3 ~ 4% of the maximum input. I was able to pull proper drivers (or at least more updated than the default windows drivers) from the MSI website which unlocked the "microphone boost" option in the device properties menu. It works now, however it is (or at least i assume so) suppost to work normally as it did before. Nothing changed (that can affect audio output) except for the motherboard, the windows version and everything else is still the same (windows 11 pro, build: 22621.755, 22H2). So my question is if anyone else is expierencing simular issues, and if maybe someone has found a proper fix for this issue. I'm thinking this might be related to windows nog properly picking up mic input but don't quote me on that. Note: I did update the bios version on this motherboard (non problematic in my opnion, or should at least not affect audio input)
  2. Hi, i have a quick question about my video card and psu. I have an rx vega 56 and when gaming without fps cap it has alot of coil whine. Now i read somewhere online that it might be your psu, i have an corsiar cx650m psu and personally dont think it is the problem. Would it help to use two seperete 8 pin cables or is it ok to use on split 8 pin cable?
  3. I would recommend switching your psu out every 5 years or so if you are concerned about it destroying your pc. I had an old pc so it doesnt really matter that it died, but i started my pc and the fans went to 100% and than it shut off and didn't turn on again. I tried a different mobo and that also died. Conclusion the psu was faulty. Now this was a very crappy psu from an unknown brand, but is still has been used for 8 years without any problems. In your case you have a pretty good psu so yeah.....
  4. This won't help you ram could be dead to. I would suggest trying to boot with only one stick of memory in a slot your 100% certain works. Maybe try putt putting your cpu in a different MOBO?
  5. Update : i have thrown my whole system out of the window and just bought a ryzen 5 2600 with mobo and ram, problem solved
  6. Alright i would go the safe route and put in an q8400 you can maybe even overclock it a bit if the bios supports it.
  7. Button can also be on the bottom or along the edge
  8. You need to look at the back of your monitor there will be buttons for a menu there you can change gamma just reset the menucto factory defaults
  9. First you need to look at the psu, if have had one of these optiplexses but mine had a to small psu to support a different cpu Here is a site with al the compatibel components https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/Dell-OptiPlex-330/1996
  10. No armd setting indeed Update: i have cleared cmos it boots and says new cpu installed press F1 to enter setup, which is normal but when i try booting the windows 10 usb it doesnt work.
  11. Ata interface on stock is set to ahci, i changed the boot order to #1 usb but the same issue
  12. I got it from someone who said it worked. Now i can get into the bios and it detects the i7 and all the other components. when is start the pc i get a message that the boot device is not supported when no boot device is connected.
  13. i tried two different board right now two of the same asus boards, i don't have another lga 1155 board on hand. I have tried two different powersupplies so i don't know. Now one thing to note is that both of these board were pulled from some old pc's, both work with my i5 3470, only with the i7 they don't work.
  14. I tried dissabeling hyperthreading fully didnt work
