Hello! I'm your channel long time viewer first of all thanks for your amazing content that you creating!

But here I'm to tell my personal story about one of your sponsors: Hetzner.

As software developer I very interested in Hetzner's sweet deals and their ARM servers. But when I tried to create account on their site I faced discrimination by my citizenship.

I born in Russia and live most part of my life there, but after full blown invasion of russian army to Ukraine I leaved the country. I have different bank cards of banks from different countries to pay for services, but Hetzner requires ID verification. And I'm totally okay with "know your customer" polices, but I will able to verify my identity only with my russian passport. Unfortunately get new citizenship isn't so easy as a new bank card.

I tried to create account on Hetzner's platform twice, but after submitting photos of my russian passport both of my accounts was banned for "security reasons". After I tried to reach their support by email to understand is it because my citizenship or maybe it's because some other reasons I was just ignored.

I fully understand all pollitical context of situation, sanctions and all the stuff, but for a lot of companies and services a bank card from some not russian bank is enough to work with you. Banning you from using their services and ignoring you because of citizenship in my opinion the pure form of descrimination. At least I want some explanation from Hetzner about this situation.

Unfortunately I can't show you their emails because that situation happened more than half of year ago and I clearing my email very often. But if you need any proof of that story I can try to register again, result probably will be same.

I don't have a complaint about a sponsor, per say. However I would like to complain about the sponsor complaint thread, specifically in regards to the increase of sponsor affiliate accounts that are responding here. If a company affiliate is needing to address a complaint on these forums there is clearly an issue with their internal support processes. While I'm glad that the member is getting their issue addressed (or looked at a second time, at minimum) this should not be considered resolution from LTT's standpoint. A strong look need to be taken into the company's business / support processes.

Similarly to users complaining publicly on Twitter, one should not need to complain here for an issue to be looked at. This forum should not be a legitimate intake method to request support or escalate issues with 3rd party companies nor should it be a tool for these companies to "save face". This forum should be for LTT viewers to speak directly to LTT and let them know a company they work closely with and stand behind has an issue.

LTT has indicated that they treat their relationships with their sponsors and viewers seriously and they stand behind the products and services they advertise on their channels. I believe that is their indent. I don't believe it's helpful to water down this thread with unnamed company representatives attempting to vaguely save face in front of the LTT audience. It is my belief that if this thread is to continue down this path two different results will emerge:
Large issues with problematic companies will be obfuscated in a sea of "I'm DMing you to address this." posts. Individual issues may be addressed but systemic problems will remain, go unnoticed, or worse, get buried and ignored. This thread becomes a legitimate avenue to get support directly from companies. Individuals with unsubstantiated and/or unreasonable complaints will escalate issues here using the weight behind LTT in an attempt to push the results in the way they desire. The thread becomes watered down.

A quick suggestion, you may be able to give MarkBench the ability to set the game settings on its own to avoid human error. A lot of games use generic text-based configuration files to store settings, and are easy to adjust from something like notepad. Almost anything based on Unreal, for example, can easily be adjusted with code, since it stores game settings in a couple of .ini files somewhere in appdata.

It also depends on your location. If you want to sell it all together, FaceBook marketplace and Craigslist are your friends.

I'd consider selling the parts separately on eBay. That white 3090 should make you 700 bucks after fees.

    100% not a thing.

Fake multi speaker audio is just that, fake.  These were destined to die before they ever took off.

If for nothing else:  Speaker driver size matters, and trying to put 3 or 4 drivers into a single earcup will limit the size of the primary driver as a result.

I had a zalman headphones with 3 drivers in each side.
IT DOES NOT WORK any better then 2 drivers and good software.
You can hardly hear the difference between front and rear driver since they 3 cm from each other away.

(I still have it somewhere its huge, but i connected all drivers together for an immense soundstage with lots of bass. But i already blew a soundcard driving 6 drivers form headphone jack hehehe)

And by good software i dont mean the nonsense thats ATMOS or whatever, but good binaurial/directional sound.

Humans only have 2 ears anyway.
Only reason you do that (multiple surround channels) with speakers is because they are further away.

So yeah nothing LTT did, just physics like @Dedayogsaid.
It was nonsense crap marketing hype, and im glad its over. Now for only that fake ATMOS to stop, as thats nonsense too.

(True) multi-driver "surround" headphones are a lie.

For a very simple reason. Sound localization happens mainly with both ears. We "hear" the phase and amplitude differences between the signals of our left and right ear. Reflections and the slight sound changes cause by the shape of our heads and ears help us to "hear" height and distance of signal sources (with much less precision than the direction in the horizontal plane).
Because of this, adding additional drivers to earcups does not create "surround" sound. Only a single ear can hear the driver and the driver is way to close to the ear to be influenced by the shape of our head and ears. It's way - WAY better to use simple stereo headphones and artificially add phase, frequency response, reflections and amplitude changes to localize sound sources ("binaural audio" - example).

Not LTT killed "True 7.1 Surround Headsets", but physics and physiology.

Just finished watching. For those curious, they did not directly mention Madison's situation (as expected, it isn't done yet), but they did bring up mental health and harassment in general, some of it in regard to harassment from the community.

Overall, a lot of good things. No joking around this time, which is nice. There seems to be a clear plan forwards. No more daily uploads, either. They have updated their policy to prioritize stopping the production of a video if there are any problems that arise with enough severity. Big fan of that.

The only thing really left is to see whether they actually stick to this, which I'm hopeful of.

There are genuine reasons for waiting until after the investigation to share the results. The biggest one being that what is known right now might not be true or representative of what actually happened.

Dev here! Automating the setting of game configuration is a good suggestion, and it's on our roadmap. We aren't currently doing this due to priority; Data collection, analysis, and presentation trump automated game settings for now.

Matters under legal precedent cannot be commented on in public during an official investigation as it can influence said investigation. And have legal ramifications. Any conjecture outside that is just conjecture. Opinions are still opinions, but vilifying based on conjecture and opinion is a fools errand. FYI.
