  1. Wish I could win this!! It would help so much with video I have to play at school for the cross country team I coach.
  2. Yes I have try updating, forgetting and setting it up as a new AP, difference SSID , and radio channels. I don't know what to do anymore.
  3. I have try having the AP on a different channel. I have disable both the 5ghz and 2.4ghz on my router, So I don't have multiple signals around my house, everything is connected to the AP.. the only reason i turn them back on, was for this test. but the router was on channel 6 and the AP on 1.... But again... everything on the AP works great regardless of what channel it is... everything gets over 30Mbps... expect my phone!!
  4. yes it does, but why only when i connected to the AP? when I'm on my router or for that fact any other WiFi. it works great. ??
  5. Okay guys, So i need help! cause this is killing me! IDK what to do or what i'm doing wrong... So I have a Ubiquiti AP-LR, that is only n/b/g , and it works great around the house! everything gets a strong signal and fast speeds... I have 100 down / 10 up internet. on the AP everything is getting over 30 Mbps down, even my old iPad 1st generation!! Now the problem is my HTC M8! when i'm connected to the AP i get the highest 3Mbps! smh... and I know its not my phone cause when i connect to the Asus RT-AC68U router i get speeds also up to 30Mbps on the 2.4 Ghz and up to so 60Mbps or 70Mbps on the 5Ghz... this time i only got 50Mbps I here are some information on my AP and the router... IDK much about all this but the main difference i seen is that when I'm on the AP my TX is 2M, everything else is always like in the 50+... , when I connect my phone to the router wifi i also get a higher TX. All this speed there were done about 2 feet away from the AP and the router. I have try resetting my AP, trying a static IP from my phone to the AP, changing the name/SSID of the AP wifi. I have no idea that to do anymore, It can't be the AP, cause like i said, every other phone, ipad, laptop connected to it gets well over 30Mbps...
  6. What is the difference in between this two? UAP-AC-USA $273.99 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1049755-REG/ubiquiti_networks_uap_ac_enterprise_ap_ac_unifi.html UAP-AC-PRO-US $169.00 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1184036-REG/ubiquiti_networks_uap_ac_pro_unifi_ap.html The UAP-AC-PRO is part of the new line up from Ubiquiti... Did they lower their price? or what??
  7. Well i have the PWM version. but what is better. the vario or the PWM?
  8. hi guys. so i just got the EK-D5 Vario XRES 140 (incl. pump) from Performance PC. http://www.performance-pcs.com/ek-xres-140-d5-vario-incl-pump.html So the one they have on the website has the build in speed controller... and the one i got doesn't... they are also different brands. So the question. is what do you guys recommend... should i call them and send it back. or is it the same thing?
  9. I had forget about the xeon's that work for 1150... I do a little bit of everything. gaming, photoshop and premiere. not always... I've been reading on some reviews that the xeon 1231v3 is a better bang for your buck than the 4690k. they have the 4790 on fry's for $270 USA. that's maybe other option now... I do have a custom watercool system on my pc... I never really push the FX8350. just to like 4.4Ghz... Not much of an OC person.
  10. I was at Fry's Electronics yesterday and i picked up this Asus Z97-AR for $37. It was the display unit they had. I got a G1850 to test it! and it works!!! My current system is an AMD 8350 with an Asus M5A99X Pro r2.0... Honesty I'm good with this system. But well since i got a great deal on the motherboard i'm going to upgrade to it... Question. What CPU should i get... the upcoming Skylake CPU's wouldn't work right? Should i wait for the i5-5675C or just get the i5-4690K? I run a r290x so i don't need onboard graphics...
  11. Hi guys. So it's getting pretty hot here in Southern California... Its over 105 in the living room were i have my computer. and like Linus my mom doesn't like us to turn the AC on... lol =/ anyways I have an Alphacool nexxxos xt45 full copper dual 140mm radiator in front of my Fractal Design arc midi r2 case. With the Fractal 140mm fans the case came with... I currently have a an kinda ghetto water cooling system... Swiftech Apogee XL CPU Waterblock Alphacool nexxxos xt45 Dual 140mm radiator Swiftech Micro Rev2 Reservoir Swifttech H220... ( so a dual 120mm radiator, and using the waterblock/pump as only the pump (it was leaking if it use it as a waterblock, something about the bracket )) The only thing being water cool now is my CPU AMD 8350 ( I had my GPU 7950, but i sold it) , anyways the Asus Fan xpert shows the CPU temp at around 48C at idle... If i crank up the fans to max it drops down to 42C... Anyways I want to get better 140mm fans.. Saw the Noctua NF-A14 , $30 each one... oh wow... what other fans so you guys recommend??
  12. Well i got it because I use my main desktop as my media server, running Plex. and then when also repair computers. So i'm always backing up customers files via Ethernet and then restoring them ones the fresh installation of the OS is done... Sometimes I'm reprogramming 2 or 3 computers at a time. but after reading now. i saw that the hard drive in my desktop WD RED 3TB might also be the bottleneck for even one gigabit nic ( i do have an SSD, but i store the backups or updates / programs into the hard drive) I got the Intel Dual Intel PRO/1000 from amazon. about $35 USD. i thought to myself. hi if $35 could save me a few more minutes transferring files why not...
  13. You think, that's the problem? I try to plug it directly to the Asus TM-AC1900 router, but same thing. ...
